Inhuman and horrendous experience. We had been given two hours training then expected to do everything perfect. The guy made fun of us when we arranged the cases not up to the standards. Also, after couple of hours we *3 trainees* were left to work alone on very heavy machine, 2, when one went on a break. The work is not work, it's humans competing with machines. We had to pick the beetroot cases of about 10-15 kg 1 every second and arrange them into piles in the expected order. I can still feel the pain when I recall all this. The lady shouted, literally yelled at my husband when he didn't arrange the cases according to instructions and this was after 3 to 4 hours of starting working. Your first day ever. After some time, when me and my husband was left alone on this machine, he asked the lady to maybe reduce the speed of the machine. To which she shouted again that they are not allowed to do this. I don't know how this work have been approved for humans. This is not it, you are not allowed to go on break together on your 12 hours shift. It was the worst day of our lives. I have never been humiliated like this in any of my jobs. I've also not been expected to do everything perfect on my first day. This place is horrible, it's going to give you nightmares. Our experience of work, and with some of the factory staff that we came across was horrendous. Honestly, they need to be reported.
HGV Advice..... Sat Nav tries to send you around a 7.5t weight limit in Barlby Rd, but it is “except for loading”! I arrived 1.5 hours late, this was my 1st time tipping here, the security guy was really helpful and told me what the routine is. Park up in a holding bay, take paperwork to the goods in office, grey portacabin, they check you in, sit in your cab until FLT driver comes and gets you, follow his directions, he puts a bay number sheet under your wiper, hand your keys in to security. Once tipped take bay number sheet back to security to collect keys and your off! I found all people I dealt with were friendly and helpful, a good tip!
Editing on top to keep it recent. I will give greencore credit where it is due. They did all they could to solve the problem and let me know super quick. With no grudges or recrimination. All was found. Thanks greencore. Anyone can make mistakes but to own up and do all possible to fix the issue without any sign of upset or blame is rare and shows a stand up company that I can recommend to anyone. ------------ original post below so owners comment still makes sense. Applied for a job but didn't have birth certificate. Was told could hand in later. Bought it in and sent an email to confirm. Heard nothing back. A week later went back to get birth certificate back. Was told they didn't have it and I should have known that the lady who I handed it into wasn't the correct lady. Was also told that since I can not recall what a person I saw for all of 5 minutes sometime last week looks like. It's my fault for trusting them. Greencore stole my birth certificate but it's my fault for trusting the company. That's cool. Won't be trusting them again. Take photos of any one you deal with in case you need to ask for something back. They do not answer emails unless they feel like it and expect you to know their staff better than they do.
If you get there on time you'll be unloaded with in the hour. Must be on time for delivery 30 minutes early or late ok but anymore Bad. Good factory shop one place I don't mind deliering to.
I live near greencore pickel factory and I'm getting sock of cars screeching off at speed there is a speed limit there is no need to put pedal to the metal
Too much health and safety overload. Was told not to reverse without a banksman and he's not even qualified to be a banksman
Very good place to work, employees are very well looked after.
Check booking times and go 30 min.before its for truck driver
Brought a barbie cake and the jam was awful, no email address to contact anyone !
No good road . Take from the back of the factory.
