Lovely campsite with great shower block. Useful shop that also does coffee, breakfast, etc. Really helpful owners - nothing is too much trouble! Great location with walking, cycling, canoeing all in the local area. Absolutely loved it. Will definitely be going back! Highly recommend.
Great small site with good facilities and all you could need, good signal for working. Over an hour's walk to the Wye river through nice woodland. Coleford is a ten minute walk away and is a great little town to stop by with nice pubs and places to eat. We discovered the recreational fields right near the campsite on the walk into town, ideal for short dog walks straight from the site. Stopped in at 'The Dog House' micropub in Coleford which does great local beers and our dog lay on one of the pub dog beds whilst we were there and was very happy with that. Overall great location and facilities and well kept site.
- walk to Wye valley is one hour through lovely woods straight from campsite through a sheep field. - walk to town is also really quick and passing an amazing kids playground. - town has really great takeaway shop for chips and pizza, best I’ve ever had. And, also had a great small pub suitable for dogs had a dog related pub name. - campsite has a dishwasher that’s really, really useful. - not super impressed with the cost of laundry on site - better for a refresh than actually laundry needs. - flower garden beautiful and site well maintained.
