Just dined in the restaurant part of this grand establishment. The service was perfect, pleasant, attentive and swift. The food was absolutely spot on! Fresh fish tasted so good, chips were fantastic,  gorgeously succulent jumbo battered sausages,  fish goujons, curry sauce and the moussaka was all gorgeous!!!! Cheesecakes were out of this world! Absolutely loved it!! Thank you to all the staff and owners for a fantastic experience!

Great place to have lunch. Rag pudding, lovely pieces of tender steak complete with rich gravy! Tasty piece of fish! A Good traditional hearty meal. Also try the traditional Greek Moussaka dish, you won't be disappointed, tender minced lamb, Moist but not wet. As good a Moussaka as you will get!

Went in for lunch...fish and chips was excellent.. fresh fish can and crispy batter. Chips crunchy and not dry. Mushy peas a tad too thick could have done with a bit of water to make it a bit looser. Tartar sauce tasted alright. What let the side down was the excessive sauce on my prawn cocktail. Eat it I did but ib opinion far too much sauce and not ideal served in a ice cream glass. Probably easier to eat in a bowl or bigger dish. All in all very good fish and chips and service was brilliant. Looking forward to trying the whitebait on our next visit. 8/10 :-

Very pleasant staff, amazing food, & service with a smile. This will explain why there are always a lot of happy customers inside. Won't argue the price either. You're getting top, good quality food.   Parking: Small carpark around the corner. First come first serve basis.

I regularly get a Friday night chippy for my tea. The fish, chips and curry sauce is the nicest chippy I have ever tasted

I can't comment on the atmosphere as I have never sat in to eat. I haven't given a full 5 stars for service as I've yet to see anyone smile. The actual service is quick and thorough. The chips here are the absolute best I have EVER tasted and only for the calories and the cost. I would order chips from here every day. Which is also a huge bonus as they are open every day except Sundays I cannot comment about the other foods they have as being vegan, chips are all I can have from the menu...though the mushy peas are great, I just wish they did Chinese curry sauce. They only do English curry sauce which is too mild. I would definitely recommend this chip shop!!

Local icon that built its status on staple of the British cuisine - spoiler alert - fish and chips. For years they maintained the food quality which in itself is an achievement considering current money saving tendencies amongst food retailers. Their restaurant offering is honest and very well executed. One star less for sometimes a heavy atmosphere if the boss has a bad day. Cheer up man!

Fish and chip special is fantastic. Pies are fabulous. Our granddaughters love coming here, they're made very welcome Green Lane chippy is as good as it gets. Parking along the road. There is no car park.Food: 5/5
