Good stock and always look for deals and offers, as usually full prices are quite high. However I cant give higher rating than 2 stars because women working there are rude, not friendly, unprofessional and very unpleasant. And I experience this behaviour every time I shop there. Hence I wont go there that often! I know from other customers that they have same experience as mine. I hope the recruitment at Grape Tree will improve.
Appalling behaviour. Absolutely disgusted with the treatment. My friend had phoned me very distressed after she had been spoken to in an incredibly aggressive manner by the lady short black hair in her 60s' when she was questioned why she was not wearing a mask. My friend has an exemption card and even when she showed this as proof, the lady wouldn't accept this. She told her that she should not be walking around the shop talking on the phone without a mask on. My friend has severe PTSD, anxiety and ADHD. I was really frustrated at the situation that my friend was put in, so I decided to pop in just to let the woman know that as per the governments official advice, employers and their employees may personally liable for 1 AN OFFENCE liable on summary conviction to pay a fine of up to £5,000 - Section 112 Aiding contraventions of the Equality Act 2010. 2 AN ACT OF DISABILITY DISCRIMINATION and be ordered to pay any individual who suffers injury to feelings compensation between £900 and £9000 - Section 119 Remedies of the Equality Act 2010. When I tried to explain this to her, very calmly, she was raising her voice at me telling me I don't know what I'm talking about and to leave the shop. I asked for her name and she refused to give it to me. She then was telling me that the reasoning for her attitude with my friend was because she was walking around the shop with her head phones on and she found it rude. May I add again that the reason my friend feels comfortable with her headphones on is that she has PTSD, anxiety and ADHD. I think the way that this woman dealt with this situation was absolutely disgusting and I will be taking this further. I have it on film. How dare she speak that way to a customer with disabilities. TERRIBLE customer service. At one point she tried to make another customer deal with getting me out of the shop whilst I was stood calmly speaking to her because she was clearly getting flustered whilst I was trying to explain that she was not allowed to discriminate. She even went to the extent of reading the COVID regulations that were on the wall behind her and realised as she was reading that it clearly states that customers who are exempt from wearing a mask can show their exemption card but it is not necessary. Very foolish mistake to make with someone who is aware of the regulations and the laws and legislation surrounding this matter. Will be making sure no-one I know will be returning to this store. Disgusting
Super amazing shop!! Customer service is very nice, loads of different foods: I think one of the cheapest places to get nuts and dry berries in Brighton!
Excellent shop, great selection and prices. Lovely staff, have found them to always be helpful and friendly under the current difficult circumstances.
