Went there for a concert Dire Straights tribute, who were very good.nnLots of staff serving in the break, good views of the stage, felt nice and close, free parking in the surrounding streets with a bit of a look,
This review not for the theatre but for the cafe entrance only. A big change from the damp and gloomy entrance of yesteryear, all nice and bright and clean. The staff although young were reall nice and polite. What i will say is the service was really slow. orederd a sandwich and coffee. Had my coffee but twenty mins later and still no food, couldnt even hear it or smell it being cooked. the place was nearly empty yet they said they were experiencing problems. so with tha i got my refund and left. wont be back for a quick bite again. but will go back to see a show. for the rices they charge, the service was nearly at a stop. hope they improve
Lovely theatre overlooking the sea. Saw a comedy show with Joe Pasquele, who was hilarious. Friendly staff & bar staff so efficient, long queue goes down quick. 10 minute walk to wetherspoons in the harbour, where you will find bars/restaurants. Shops close by too.
Visited the theatre to watch the Simon & Garfunkel Story on stage; the Performance was excellent. The theatre is what you would expect from a seaside venue; relatively well maintained with seats and rows in very close quarters. We sat in the front row AA and the view was fantastic. Being a smaller venue, the bar and reception area were quite small, making queuing for drinks a little awkward, but the drinks were reasonably priced £9 for half a lager and a glass of wine and the bar very young team of bar staff did reasonably well too. In all, a good experience and a venue with a lot of seaside character..
Been there a couple of times now. nice little theatre.
