What a wonderful site, such a great place to chill. The showers/toilets and the rest of facilities spotlessly clean. Beautiful walk/ cycling path by the river to York centre. If you look in the shower block there is a notice board with information about things going on in local area. Just around the corner 2 minutes walk a gorgeous garden centre with a lovely tearoom. Looking forward to going back again soon, Lisa is so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Great site
Perfect little site. Easy walk into the city, bus comes past the site as well which is great. It’s dog friendly, the facilities are clean, pitches are flat. Hardly any road noise. Just the perfect find, Lisa will be sick of seeing us now we’ve found Grantchester
This is the best camp site we have stayed. Just sold our VW Transporter Van but will be back when we get sorted with a tent. The showers are lovely and always very clean I would always recommend Granchester if visiting York. Lisa and her family are so friendly and always very helpful. The price is very good for such a lovely site 5 stars from Terry and myself.
Excellent site. Very clean facilities and pitches. Bus stop to York and back right outside on the main road. Tried to book for New Year, but is full up, testament to the site and host. Will be back in 2023…
Lovely little sight. Great for walking and bike riding. Bus easy to catch from near site to access York.
We’ve stayed here several times, it’s a beautifully maintained site with level pitches and EHU. Lovely walk along the river into York or a 10 minute bus journey with bus stops right on the main road. Toilet and shower block immaculately clean at all times. Looking forward to booking another break here.
A perfect place for us to stay with a campervan and tent, a pleasant walk into york but would recommend a bus back as it is a couple of hours. Facilities were all clean and sufficient
Quite little campsite - so far everything is very nice. Clean warm utility block, squirrels darting about all around.
A small site just on outskirts of York. Flat pitches. Showers and loos clean and well maintained. Park and ride just 10 minutes down the road for the city. Pub walking distance , about 15 minutes along the main road, serving food. We had the site to ourselves bar another caravan ! Lisa the manager really helpful when booking. We will return.
Lovely little campsite, good facilities and great guests. Highly recommended. The location is also good, a pub and shop within a 10 minute walk, the centre of York under an hour along the river.
