Story

Grand Daddy's was created to bring the big taste of America to our little diner right in Manchester's City Centre. Open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner - it's a place to enjoy dining on American classic recipes in cool, quirky surroundings whilst the sounds of 50's fill the airwaves.

Here at Grand Daddy's Diner we're passionate about one thing: Offering authentic American food that's made from the freshest, locally-sourced ingredients we can get our hands on. Our 6oz gourmet burgers come in a variety of options and are handmade every day using our own exclusive (and secret) recipes. We also serve fried and chargrilled chicken burgers which are cut, seasoned, marinated and cooked to perfection by our skilled brigade of chefs. You can also personalise your burgers with toppings of your choice to create your very own, unique taste of America!

Why not partner your burger with a shake? At Grand Daddy's we serve a range of flavours including the 'Birthday Cake' and the 'Cotton Candy' and many more. And of course there's always a great choice of stateside favourites when it comes to cold ones, including cream soda, Coca-Cola, Dr. Pepper, Mountain Dew, AriZona and Snapple.

As I bit into the crispy, golden exterior of the fried chicken burger, I was immediately met with a symphony of flavors. The tangy burger was unique, complementing the succulent chicken perfectly. The crunch of the pickles and gherkins added a delightful contrast, while the freshness of the shredded lettuce and the crunchiness of the red cabbage elevated each bite. Each component worked harmoniously to make a delicious burger! The cheesy fries were decent, but they didn't quite hit the mark for me. While the gooey cheese had a satisfying texture, it lacked the bold flavor I was hoping for. The fries themselves were crispy enough, but they didn't stand out. Overall, I'd give them a 6 out of 10. They were okay, but there's definitely room for improvement.
Excellent food and service. It’s also a bonus for being halal and having a good selection of vegetarian items ! The owner even offered student discounts of free items depending on if you paid cash or card. The chips were definitely one of the best I’ve ever had. Would definitely recommend this place.Food: 5/5
As you enter you’ll be greeted by a funky and fun interior, and serviced by a friendly manager. We had an order for 4 which amounted to 32 pounds which included 4 burgers, 4 fries and drinks an AMAZING student, cash only deal to get free fries and drink with a burger. Super generous portions and lovely, quick service, juicy chicken, dripping with sauce and perfectly cooked fries. This is the place to go when you want something filling and tasty. They have a large menu with many unique burgers- something a bit more special than a typical Faux American joint. Comparing to typical fast food, this place gives way larger portions, Way tastier food for the same price! Supporting small businesses and a comforting environment. My only gripe would be if they did a couple of vegan options! Special thanks to the manager and staff for taking our photos and being super accommodating! Would give 6 stars if i could, a must go for all local students. We WILL be back <3

The restaurant itself is clean and has pleasant atmosphere. The food tastes good and the plating is lovely. I especially like fried chicken burger, very juicy and tasty. Servers and shopkeeper are very friendly. They have special offers for students: if you order a burger, you can get free fries and a drink. Overall, it’s a nice place to grab a burger. Recommended!

Food and service were amazing! Best burger I’ve had in a long time, huge portions. The staff even went as far to bring extra nacho cheese unprompted and gave us “top ups” of milkshake that didn’t fit in our glasses. 100% would go again.Food: 5/5
First time dining here and it was a very pleasant experience. The staff were lovely and accommodating. I ordered onion rings, fried chicken burger, fries and a drink. They only made me pay for the starter and burger which was very kind of them. I believe this is a student discount. Food came out quickly and tasted very fresh. Will definitely go back!
This HALAL burger place is a hidden gem. The owner is friendly and welcoming as well as all the food being handmade. We got the chicken burgers with seasoned fries which were delicious. The only downside I would say is the portion of fries for £2.50 was not worth it. The food however was delicious overall. We also got onion rings which were a large portion that complemented the burgers well. Not to mention, if you want to try a different drink this is the place to go! They have imported drinks from all over such as different flavoured fanta drinks, coke flavours and many more. The owner also kindly gave us a sample of their milkshake flavour and I would definitely be back to try their other flavours because the milkshake was great!!
Wonderful buisness and the owners were so welcoming! Arrived at 11am on the dot when they opened and the owners were already set up and welcomed myself and my sister in We grabbed our own seats and ordered at the till when we were ready. The lady at the till had to come back and tell us that the food we ordered was not ready to be served because that was one of the dishes that was not prepared quite yet since everything was made fresh to order. Not a problem at all, we changed the order and it was made within 20 minutes! We got an extra serving of specially made fries that were not on the menu for the inconvenience! The food was so fresh, delicious and the portions kept us full for ages afterwards too. I would highly recommend eating out here The staff were lovely and attentive and made the effort to make us feel important and offered refunds for the difference in meals when there was an issue. The place was very quiet and I have no idea why because the food was great, the music was all classics like Elvis Presley and Tina Turner, the atmosphere was spot on for a classic style diner. I would love to see this place thrive!
