The staff was rude to me and my partner, we was promised the car we looked at if we put a deposit on it then to called 5 days later to say they sold it after we put our money down for the car. We will not be going back to them or would recommend anyone to go to them.
Car sold had a faulty clutch, seller denied anything wrong with the car. No test drive offered, was told it’s a characteristic of the car or my driving style-seller has a lot of lies, tricks and general bull to cover up their foul practice. Please please reconsider your options, there are other garages out there. If you do go ahead and the car is ok, fine but if you end up having to contact these idiots about a fault, believe me you will struggle to get anywhere. Consumer credit law states seller has to prove car was ok when sold-I got nowhere, I had receipts and reports from garage and they simply told me to go to court, I am a father and busy family man and don’t have the time or patience. After 5 months of going back and fourth alone and using aa mediation don’t bother I got £150. The car cost me £500 to fix. The seller simply gets his snotty nose solicitor to do the answering and they will try an intimidate you in the hope you give up To summarise-read the negative reviews and you will find the tactic has been used before, so look elsewhere because you will have big problems getting anything back of these clowns. I’ve been ripped of by £350, what goes round comes round they say. All I wanted was a stress free experience-it was the complete opposite. 5 months of stress and worse of by hundreds of pounds. Don’t bother if I was you.
WOULD GIVE A -5 STAR IF I COULD.All nice when selling a car, but very rude and abrasive if you return with a fault. Sold car with numerous faults and returned 5 times soo far. Provided me with a courtesy car with known faults and now gone into limp mode. This actually happened to me whilst pulling onto a 70mph road and a car nearly hit me due to not being able to accelerate. I've lost a day's pay so far and at least another, I've lost money on insuring the car as well due to not being able to drive it and the £35 of petrol I've put into it. The boss who was in today thst should of been notified about this never rang me today and now gone home and to top things off the company can't find a blatant issue with my car vibrating under acceleration...I ask this, why would I drive 1 1/2 hours and 70 miles to drop off a car with no issues! Issue with car at 2500rpm in 3rd gear where it vibrates, been on about this for nearly a year, I was told that I shouldn't accelerate hard and was patronised on the phone when I said my money is hard earnt and that theirs was even more hard earned! They eventually replaced a driveshaft doughnut and the problem was fixed which it wasn't! They also parked my car up down a dodgy back street and didn't lock my car! AVIOD LIKE THE PLAGUE! I am in the top 10 of reviewers on this site and take heed AND IF I COULD GIVE A MINUS 5 RATING I WOULD! BELEIVE ME THE BAD REVIEWS ON THIS SITE ARE TOTALLY TRUE!
I have purchased a new car from GCS this week and the service from Maureen was amazing. Very thorough and knowledgeable. Not at all pushy and helped with any queries I had. A real asset to the team and kept in regular contact throughout the process, thank you Maureen!

No ! Brought a second hand car , had to put petrol in day after .now tyre pressure coming up on dashboard ! Decided not to take the extra year guarantee for £365 as didn't appear to include a lot! Where the sellers attitude suddenly changed! no commission shop around !
Have bought every car I have owned from Granby and have always received amazing service from start to finish. Would recommend to anyone! Maureen sold us our last two cars and she was so helpful and honest.
Would NOT recommend. Bought my first car from here - the salesman was very friendly and said all the right stuff to keep me at ease. However when asked if the cam belt had been changed due to the amount of miles it had done the answer was skipped around and avoided. Once I’d paid for the car and drove it home I received a phone call the next day confirming the belt had not been changed and they were willing to do it for a further £300+ !!! I was absolutely fuming with the pure cheek of being sold a car with multiple issues that were skimmed over only to be offered to be fixed for more money. Absolutely rip off merchants. I also did some research some months later and found out my car is worth half what they charged me. Partly my fault for being so fresh in the motor world and I do half blame my lack of knowledge but I will never return to this place. I have 2 back wheels that after only 1 week have been deflating due to the alloys being so old. I was proper blind sided by these ‘friendly’ people. Don’t buy here. Money grabbing people that ‘look after’ new drivers.
Had to pop a review on here since I've seen quite a few negative ones recently. I bought my second car which I still have now and I bought it at Granby Car Sales in 2021. Great car, low mileage, fair price and has done me well since I've had it. I'm looking to now buy a new car since I need more boot space since having a baby but I will be sad to part with my car. The customer service was great, they weren't too pushy either which was a bonus. Maybe I was fortunate and got one of the great cars, but personally, I think GCS are a great business well, when I used them and I couldn't fault their service at all! If you're looking to buy a car then you should always go with the right questions, if you know what you're talking about then you'll get the answers you desire. Cars are technical objects and unfortunately some do come up with issues after you buy them, and sometimes it really is just coincidental and life ‍
Good range of cars, fairly reasonable prices. Friendly staff, knowledgeable, not pushy. Trevor gave good advice and allowed us time to view the car and test drive without hassle
