I bought my Essense of Australia wedding dress from Gowns & Garters for my wedding back in March. From my very first appointment with Saffron in April 2017 all the way through to my fittings with Julie in March this year, my experience was just wonderful! My appointments were private, not pressured and I tried on as many dresses as I liked! Their advice was valuable and they listened to my likes and dislikes until I found my perfect dress. The alterations are done in house which is a real bonus as Julie is used to working on the dresses which was a comfort to me. On my wedding day I felt incredible! I highly recommended G&G and only wish I could buy wedding dresses all the time! Thank you x

Unfortunately our experience of dress adjustment and fitting has not been a pleasant one. Julie who attended and did the adjustments on the first two fittings could not be bothered to be there for the third and final fitting and made my fiancé feel like she was not important enough. How a business that should be about absolute premium service feels this is acceptable is beyond me when something as important as a wedding dress is concerned. On the final fitting a bride to be should be leaving feeling at her best and like she has been cared for. The lady that dealt with my fiancé today was nice enough but comments like “it’s too late to change your mind now” maybe are also not appropriate. It saddens me to say all this but I feel it is important to give a true review of a service so others do not feel as disappointed as we do.

I spoke on the phone earlier today with such a lovely, friendly lady named Saffron to enquire about a dress I had seen online that had been discontinued. She was so helpful and went above and beyond by calling the dress designers directly to track down the dress for me! Excellent customer service, no doubt will booking an appointment soon, thank you from a grateful caller!!
