I love GBK so I was a little anxious when visiting this branch to discover a menu change and my favourite burger the hey pesto not surviving! But the burger and loaded fries were absolutely delicious, and the milkshake was beautiful. I loved the little tablet to order on, although £1.99 extra to play some games on it feels a bit outrageous. The place was clean and there was a good atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. I’d definitely come again.
Went there on a lunchtime. You get a tablet per table which make it very easy to place an order and pay. We waited around ~15 minutes to receive our order. Place is clean, staff is friendly. The food is good. It’s a great money/ portion ratio.Food: 5/5
Me and my partner came for dinner and I have never wanted to go back to a restaurant whilst already being there! Johnny gave us amazing attentive service and helped with student discount qualms, restaurant was so clean - as were the bathrooms. Most importantly the food - so fresh and hot on delivery, not too greasy and was soo moreish. Will 100% be back ASAP! Vegetarian options: Bean burgers are available!
Very nice and clean restaurant, greeted by a warm welcome and was explained how to order using the table tablet. Food was served very fresh & hot, excellent burger. Staff are very friendly. Only issue is, toilets are upstairs and it’s like a maze finding it, black painted walls and colour make it’s dark.
Popped in for a pre-cinema bit of Tea. Sat indoors and sat comfortably. The tables have these devices on them which are essentially a self order system- so you don’t have to move. We spent a few minutes choosing what we wanted and the device crashed. The staff took the device away, put the order through the till and I had to pay at the till rather than at my table- this was the WiFi apparently, which didn’t want to work that day. The pdq asked me for a tip- after being in the restaurant for five mins you want a tip? That’s not quite well timed is it? I found this annoying. The food arrived after 20 mins and my salad was small and a little bit of chicken on it, the chips were nice and my chicken tenders all three of them were fine. They came with sauces and they tasted fine. The drinks were ok, all bottled. We’re talking £50 for two mains, two sides and three drinks- not cheap but not enough food for the money, in my opinion. My partner had a burger and he was happy enough, he enjoyed his onion rings mostly. This is my first time here and considering the prime location and the word ‘Gourmet’, is this giving me a reason to come back? Not really. Was the food great? It was the same as Nando’s to be honest. Vegetarian options: They do have veggie options, the burger was tasty.
I enjoyed my time here, I had an amazing burger with so.e fries and chicken wings and a drink. Situated in the Brindley area in Birmingham, close to the canal. Food is great, staff was very decent and polite. They have a self service system wherein you can ordee and pay for your food from the comfort of your table. Toilets are clean and tidy, if pressed you'll need to walk faster cuz it takes more than 2 minutes to get there. They are located upstairs. They also have an outdoor sitting area where you can have you food while looking at the canal or just enjoying the atmosphere of being outside. Overall I'll highly recommend this place.
The friendly welcome from Robyn and the service and helpfulness of both Robyn and Johnny is the best! I cannot fault their dedication to customer service and the food is great too. Very little wait time - highy recommend.Food: 5/5
Terrible! I spend 50£ for 4 burgers and 3 disgusting tiny pack of dry chips…. Very disappointing, next time I rather have McDonald’sFood: 1/5
Had a lovely lunch here before visiting the Sea Life Centre. The menu is a little limited but there are decent customisation options. Ordering is by app or going up to the counter. This meant that the service was not great. I tried to catch a waitress to get salt and they didn't even look towards our table for a good few minutes. We got our own in the end. The food was pretty good and we enjoyed it. The only caveat being that the skinny fries are more grated potato than fries but that's on us for ordering them. If you don't mind it being very do it yourself, this is a good restaurant but not a good place if you like to have a more attentive service.
I rarely If ever complain, or leave a negative review. I got the Patty Melt and it was very poor. It was flat about a centimetre thick and totally burnt. It looked nothing like the picture on the menu?! The fries were cold. All in all, very disappointed. There are numerous restaurants to choose from in Brindley place in Birmingham. Sadly, I won’t be choosing this one again. It’s a shame, as I love a good burger and would have tried that next time. On a positive note, the staff were polite and courteous. As an update, I got a reply to the above. It was a “cut and paste” reply however. They were sorry the food was poor and will speak to those concerned. They look forward to “welcoming me back” If they’d read the above properly, they would see that I had no plans to go back. As my Google reviews show All positive except this one I wasn’t angling for a return free food visit, but if they were looking forward to “welcoming me back” you may have though a token gesture would have given me more incentive. Never mind.
