Absolutely 1st class service.  Sadly rare in this day and age, with chains on the high street that deliver mediocre service this establishment stands out a mile. This is the service of yesteryear. I was so impressed from start to finish the staff were fantastic. Friendly and professional. I really felt cared for and reassured that my eye care was in good hands. I only came across this opticians as my partner had gone there. I’m so glad I found them and hope to return for many years to come.

I have used Gordon Turner over the past 7 or so years. They have been nothing short of amazing. Brilliant professional advice, lightning fast responses to my emails and friendly staff. I even visited a high street chain with my daughter as she was keen on some frames they had.They tried to prescribe glasses. I took her to Gordon Turner for a second opinion. They where less pushy and after testing her suggested we do not even prescribe glasses and just monitor her as the prescription was so slight. Needless to say she never really needed glasses. Altogether a fantastic experience and commendable example of how to treat customers and  run a business. Highly recommended ....

Gordon Turner Optometrists was highly recommended to me by my GP few years back when my eyes were giving me hard time and my then eyecare providers had been failing me miserably. I was looking for a second opinion and made an appointment. I accepted their eyecare and never looked back since. It required few regular weekly visits to begin with but it has been annual visits after my lenses were fitted and good. Of course perfectly fitted contact lenses make a world of difference especially if speciality ones are required. Life is so much easier without frequent eye emergencies. One of my lenses broke only a week or so into Covid-19 pandemic and there was no problem arranging for a new one to be ordered and delivered.  Regular and free, or cheaper, eyecare can be one way of looking after your eyes but can simply be not enough if lacking expertise and competence or even the right equipement. GTO excel as eyecare providers especially in the speciality lenses field keratoconus, astigmatism and you will know during your first visit you are in good hands. I  am most greateful for the eyecare I have received here and most fortunate to live locally but if i had to travel I most certainly would. it is top noch clean, the most profesional and most competent practice you will find. I do not feel I need second opinion on my eyecare anymore but if you do or simply are looking for a place to start I cannot recommend Mr Turner's practice enough.

I've been going to Gordon Turner opticians for myself, my husband and 4 children for the last 8 years. I have only ever had amazing service. The standard of care and attention is so high. You are never made to feel that you should buy expensive glasses unless you want to - my last pair were just for driving, so they showed me such a reasonable frame I was astonished by how little they cost - but they are perfect. My children love going, as they are treated so well! I honestly can't recommend this business highly enough - and for me, it's even better that they've been in Cheam Village for over 60 years. They are an independent opticians - and it shows not in the price though.

I wish more high street outlets delivered the kind of service and personal attention that Gordon Turner Optometrists provides!  The great service experience began when I made my appointment over the telephone and continued throughout the consultation and after care.  I have found the Receptionist to friendly and personable but at the same time professional and someone who made me feel at ease.  Ross Turner took the time to explain clearly the results of my eye test as well as what tests were being done, during the consultation. There was no hard sell but rather he presented the options available to me and I felt that I was really being taken care of not just by Ross but by his team.  It is also clear to me that the team at Gordon Turner Optometrists are knowledgeable and experts in their field and I would recommend that anyone wanting this plus the personal attention / service visit here and see the difference for yourself!

Having not had an eye test since I had laser surgery 11 years ago I thought it would be best to have a routine eye test. The whole experience at Gordon Turner was great from the finding them via the internet, the initial phone call, the welcome as I walked in the door and to the Optometrist that carried out the eye examination. Everything was explained to me and I felt incredibly comfortable. The technology for eye tests has changed a lot since my last test so I was very impressed. I would highly recommend Gordon Turner.

I called to make an appointment to get my eyes tested and was told I'd need to get a retinal scan too... At a cost of £50. I'm diabetic and get regular retinal scans anyway so told them I didn't need this. They refused to do a simple eye test!!! Absolutely ridiculous. I need regular eye tests and they seem to be taking advantage of the covid situation to charge customers unnecessarily which is disgusting. Not impressed at all.

I have to say that unfortunately I’m not entirely satisfied with the service provided to me. First of all this is a luxury shop; whenever I get glasses anywhere else, under the NHS I get them 100% free. Here, including the NHS voucher, it cost me quite a bit of money. I didn’t expect that, I expected to get them for free on the NHS as usual. Secondly I asked to use my own frame and I specifically asked to give me back the old lenses, but somehow they went missing.

Gordon Turner Optometrists have looked after our family since I was a child. With the same care that he took with us, he treats our children. The service here is second to none. The whole team go above and beyond to help.I whole heartedly recommend them.

I’ve just been for an eye test at Gordon Turner in Cheam. I must say not only was it the best example of and optometrist I’ve ever been to. The staff were brilliant and the level of testing equipment was outstanding.... it’s a shame I didn’t need glasses!
