Went to Good Hope A&E the other day and parking wasn’t as stressful as I thought it’d be , once you know the rules.nnFirst: don’t even think about parking on the red lines. You will get ticketed. If you’re just dropping someone off, the drop-off points give you 20 minutes, which is usually enough if it’s not too busy.nnBut honestly, the easiest way is to use the visitors' car park. You get 30 minutes free, which is great for a quick A&E visit. If you go over, it’s about £3.10 for an hour — and a bit more after that but not extortionate.nnHere’s a tip: don’t struggle with the old ticket machines. Most of them only take coins. Instead, keep your ticket with you and head to the pay area in front of the treatment centre, near the visitor car park entrance. There’s a little booth with actual staff, and you can pay by card directly. So much easier.nnWish I’d known that before feeding coins into those machines like it was 1995.nnAnyway, bring your ticket, avoid the red lines, and go to the booth if you can. Saves time and stress.
Great staff the nurse reception and docs and other reception especially the docs nurse reception security and nurses and health care assistants. I came in yday they were thorough with my chest and checks so attentive and skillful. My twin came with me for company and to see how I was. Many thanks Lisa orwin
Terrible patient care, extremely long waiting times. Waited 7 hours just to be asked my symptoms and have the same observations of blood pressure taken 3 times. Staff are disorganised and aren’t providing efficient care to patients.
Came and it wasn’t even busy , staff seem more worried about having a chat with each other rather than helping people. Ridiculous wait times and no consideration for people waiting to be seen , does no one exist to follow up times to be seen or can staff just do what they like?
Here all night with a relative who had fallen All the staff were wonderful, caring, kind, warm and kept us informed about everything going on. I have been nursing for 30 years, and was extremely impressed.Special shout out to Vandi - thank you
