We ordered salt & pepper chicken, chicken fried rice, sweet & sour chicken balls & chips. We had a 15 minute drive back & it was still hot. We all enjoyed it. Sweet & sour was the best Iv had, it was delicious
10/10 service. They stayed late just to cater us and we're so grateful they accepted our order. They're also kind and accomodating. Food-wise, we enjoyed the beef chow mien and sweet & sour chicken
The worst Chinese I have ever eaten. Me and my partner ordered dinner as we were staying nearby. We ordered salt and pepper chicken, fried rice, chow mein, chips and prawn toast. Firstly I was greeted to this takeaway shop which felt like I was in a jumble sale. A male and female came out the back room shouting at eachother and then got my food. I asked for prawn crackers and the lady shouted at me and said I needed to order them. I said I was happy to pay for them then the man handed me them.nAll the food was flavourless and the prawn toast couldn’t even be classed as that as it was cold toast with white fish paste in it. It went straight into the bin.nThey forgot the chips we had paid for and said for us to drive back and collect them which would have been a 25 minute round trip.nIt truly was the worst food I have ever tried to eat. They didn’t do a BBQ sauce so I got a gravy which was lumpy and had clearly been half defrosted.nI would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. When I called the takeway to tell them how disappointed we was the male shouted down the phone and said bring it all back but quite frankly I could not be bothered to drive 25 minutes for £30. He said he had never once had a customer complain about his food and told me I was just trying to get free food. Simply all I wanted was a nice tasty Chinese.
Slightly apprehensive given the non-favourable reviews, we decided to give the Golden Inn a try. Sadly, I understand why this place does not have the best reviews in the world. The food was not the best I have ever tasted, it seemed to lack any sort of flavour and was mostly bland. The crab and sweetcorn soup was the nicest part of the food ordered. However, the salt and pepper chicken was not crispy, instead it was soggy - very disappointing and I would not return here.nnIt’s worth noting that the Golden Inn is CASH ONLY too.
Great food, really yummy. Have eaten here twice now in the last 2 years we're not locals and enjoyed it both times.nWould be 5 stars if the atmosphere and facilities were better. No back ground music makes it a bit awkward when its quiet. But the food would get 5 every time
