The food was reasonably priced with lobster being the exception. Mussels were good as well and it was a lot but on the small size. Lobster needed more garlic butter, but then again you can never go wrong with lobster. Lobster was bigger than the one I had for dinner the night before elsewhere. My son had the Crab thermidor, but it tasted too much like tomato paste so he left it after a few bites and he's a huge seafood fan like his father. Parking: Literally opposite the restaurant is a major car park on the waterfront. Fantastic views as well. You can see a picture of the ferris wheel for the car park.
Welcome aboard to enjoy delicious seafood! The delicious food saved the day in Scarborough on a gloomy Sunday . The restaurant follows the design of a boat and the walls are nicely decorated with mirrors, lights, maps and art. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Definitely, we will be back.
We ordered two dishes, one of which was recommended by GG who had steak in. The steak was said to be medium rare when we ordered it, but we got a near fully cooked hard to cut and chew steak. The lobster and rice noodles were fair to good. Not recommended, at least not for what we ordered.
Came here a few times on our holiday in Scarborough and it was absolutely spot on every time. Best fish and chips in Scarborough out of everywhere we tried. Friendly staff and a lovely themed restaurant with so much history. Prices were affordable too and they offered great specials. Definitely would recommend, will be back when visiting Scarborough again.
Visited on a quiet Saturday afternoon on a wet February day! The staff were very welcoming and served us some fantastic fish and chips. I asked for curry sauce and received a boat’s worth. Delicious lunch.
The fish and chips here were superb. Service excellent and friendly staff. We will return on our next visit to Scarborough and try one of their seafood specialities.
Cosy, wooden ship vibe inside. I had intended to have traditional battered fish but was swayed by the sea bass fillets on the specials board. I wasn't disappointed. Looked and tasted amazing! Served with gorgeous Mediterranean roast veg. I had the seafood chowder to start and that was a deliciously creamy winter warmer. My partner did have the battered cod and I can confirm that the batter was explosively crispy. Wheelchair accessibility: Step-free access but no accessible toilet.
3 Stars is being generous. Visited on 24th February at 3pm. Naturally, out of season and very quiet so expected fresh food. The Haddock was okay - but the chips were not cooked fresh to order, rather had been fried left then bunged in again to quickly ‘heat up’. This meant they were chewy, and had a ‘warmed up’ taste. Then had Apple Crumble and Ice Cream, but sadly the Crumble was heated up in the Microwave so was not ‘crumbly’ at all, soggy topped it was. Goodness knows what it is like when busy and orders are rushed. Anyway, just so sad places like this continue to offer sub-standard food in this day and age.
From London used to good's fish restaurants .this was a good but much cheaper one .lovely staff a great crab thermonder and fish chowder.friend had scampi and fish pie .no complaints at all
Had a nice Fish and Chip lunch here, got to be done while at the Seaside. Service was quick and prices were not to bad to say you are on the Seafront.
