Golden Fry

I ordered two Jumbo Sausage and chips with batter they delivered the food quickly enough but did not put in the sausages. Anyway so I called them to ask what happened to the missing item only for the people on the phone to be nasty and rude I would highly recommend that everyone should avoid this shop absolutely terrible. Fair play to uber eats though they refunded me the money for the missing items.

Fish was very good but chips were disgusting. Barely warm & we got all the scraps. Admittedly it was almost closing time but not what anyone would expect, especially at the price of food today. Chucked most chips in the bin, very disappointed, as we are just recovering from Covid & were looking forward to our takeaway. Our grandaughter collected them for us

Waited over 2 hours for my food to arrive, called up and was told it "should" be on its way. Really disappointed and it has put me off ordering again!

Been here a few times for fish and chips and they have always been delicious, couldn't fault them. However since lockdown, I occasionally go for a lunchtime walk and the route is behind this shop. Twice I have seen staff members on a break - still wearing their serving tabards - smoking round the back of the shop when the place was open and serving food. Wearing what they are then going back in to serve food in is just gross. Not the best advert really. Shame as the food is really good but it's put me off.

I use golden fry a lot, it’s my go to chippy, there’s sometimes minor mistakes with my order which I don’t actually complain about as it’s nothing major but tonight I ordered ‘box deal 3’ I ordered through just eat. I put on the comment section before I paid asking for salad and Mayo to be put on my burgers, my food turned up for me to find no salad or Mayo on my burgers just plain and dry, you did give me a separate tub of sauce which was actually garlic Mayo, I only get plain Mayo because I don’t like garlic so I was left feeling quite disappointed tonight after not getting what I was paying for. Aside from all that the food was warm enough when it arrived. I did manage to make do with the burgers as I actually had sauce myself thankfully.

Absolutely appalling inedible!!!! Phoned shop to come back to collect food as it was that bad asked for redund aswell to be shouted at over the phone to then be hung up on dont exoect that from a business. Would highly recommend people to avoid this shop. Waste of money!!!

Consistently get good fish and chips from here. Delivery times are always reasonable too. Well worth giving it a try

Absolutely lovely food and tons of it. I liked the dolphin shaped fish, I'm not sure if that was deliberate. The fish was lovely and my partner kebab was huge, Thankyou

First visit today to this fish and chip shop very clean and very Good hygiene inside. fish was made fresh had a little bit of a wait for food , only thing I can complain over was a staff member youngish small dark haired girl was very loud and rude in front of customers but cant knock the food its amazing and tasty will be back
