Golden Fortune Chinese Restaurant

Terrible food! 4 of us, so 2 of us took the happy hour menu and the whilst the other 2 ordered la carte! The spring rolls were kind of foul smelly. The samosa were ok. The sweet corn soup was ok tasty, nothing great. The Thai curry was a joke truly. The mains were terrible, even the only thing which we perhaps felt acceptable was the vegetarian chowmein. I wouldn’t visit this restaurant ever again.

We visited here tonight and was not disappointed. I initially looked at a lot of poor reviews and was a bit put off, but it really was lovely. Staff were very friendly and attentive and the food arrived fast, and it was delicious. Myself and my husband own a restaurant in Liverpool, and wanted to give an honest review about this place. Had the early bird menu. Food was lovely and waitress nice and bubbly. Service was timely and would definitely go back. Good value for money.

The worse take away we have ever had. Not good that they don't have a takeaway menu to look at, so feels like could charge any price any time. The food was tasteless, cheap chewy meat, dreadful portions. Would not recommend and won't be returningFood: 2/5

Good price for good Chinese food! We did take away and all of these dishes were delicious. All for £16 for two person.

horrible Chinese food. Kung bao chicken is most terrible, they cooked it randomly, wholly different from others. As a Chinese restaurant, what a shame to do sooo bad kung bao chicken. we also order a soup, just a small one, which should be stated in menu. we are Chinese travellers, we feel great sadness for this restaurant.

Had been out walking and exploring all day in the Lake District so we needed something to eat and a Chinese is always our go-to with me being a fussy eater. We were the first ones in at 5pm, we were seated straight away and by no later than 5:15 we already had our food brought out to us - it was amazing. We had the nicest service and the food quality was perfect. We ordered 2 salt and pepper chips, sweet and sour chicken, chicken fried rice, salt and pepper chicken and 2 drinks which came to around £40 Couldn’t recommend this place enough.

They serve a nice set menu. Friendly staff and attentive service. Very convenient location in Bowness. Locals go there..

Erm where do I start, so the staff here don't actually speak English so they brought me the wrong order out, my sides that I ordered were flat cold. My main dish when correct was actually pretty tasty and the owner was very friendly, a star each for those 2 aspects.
