I recently visited Golden City Chinese Restaurant, and it was an exceptional experience! The food is absolutely delicious, with a wide variety of options that cater to different tastes. Whether you're in the mood for something spicy or prefer a milder dish, they have it all. The General Tso's Chicken and the Singapore Special Mei Feng are must-tries – so flavorful and perfectly cooked.The service is top-notch as well. The staff is friendly, attentive, and makes sure you have everything you need for a great meal. The portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food.I highly recommend Golden City if you're in the London, Ontario area and looking for authentic Chinese cuisine. It's a gem that you definitely don't want to miss!
This is a fantastic place to come get your Chinese food very friendly service very fresh and the flavours are excellent. You can’t get any better Chinese place then here. The chicken balls are actually very good. Not all bread like all other places. This is a must come to get your Chinese!!!Food: 5/5
We used to order at your place for years and years. We decided to try again and the food was pretty good and I was happy that we were remembered when I ordered. when the food got delivered by your in house delivery guy not Uber or a 3rd provider he was rude and not friendly. Because of this we will go back to Happy Kitchen which is a family business and they are wonderful to us. Food quality plus amazing delivery experience gets our business. Our orders are approx $100.00 per order so sorry, we will not order again.
Golden City restaurant is our Family’s go to for chines food in London. The food is always Fresh and delicious. They have a wide variety of menu items from single items, Dinner platters and Family Meals that all offer a variety of menu items to enjoy. The staff are always friendly and very helpful. Try Golden city and you won’t be disappointed.
Tried this place today 1st time, happened to be in the area. Wow! Very tasty. I love that they don't use MSG. Ordered the Roast Pork Mein Feng, never heard of mein Feng before. I asked the very friendly young woman what the flavour profile is and decided to try. Pork is delicious, will definitely get again! I also tried the orange chicken, it too was very tasty. I might ask for a bit more spice next time as I didn't find it spicy at all it is in red print which denotes spicy. In any event, it did not take away from the flavour, the broccoli still crunchy even after a drive back to the east end of London!! Wish they were closer to where I live. And, the chicken fried rice....love the flavour! Will definitely go back the next time I'm at that end of the City.
Food is so bad. We get chinese takeouts often and the food here is way below average. We got 2 combos, one was sweet and sour chicken with fried rice and other sweet and sour chicken with rice and General Tao's chicken, the meat was SO breaded, deepfried and absolutely tasteless. Plus they soaked all the rice in plum sauce, all we could taste is sweet sauce, no other flavor to anything. The dumplings were okay, the only thing we ate and could not eat anything else. Never going there again.
We have ordered food from here for years, the last time I ordered the beef with vegs, there is absolutely no taste and is full of onions and not much of anything else, used to get a lot of mushrooms and green peppers, no peppers and maybe 5 mushrooms in the whole order. Never ordering again! Yuck!!Food: 1/5
My hubby loves old school chineee food....aka nothing you would find at an Asian authentic restaurant near UWO. It is torturous to try and find him his beloved combo plate but I can feed him here! Yay. Great place and he loved the food...I was under the weather but they got me chicken broth and steamed rice without any complaints. It is SO HARD to find parking though as sleepy Byron is now over populated and busy busy busy....we parked at the grocery store and walked over.

I don't agree other bad reviews.maybe Because different people has different taste. I always like their food, they never make me down.i Almost order every 2 weeks.thanks golden city! My favourite are general tao chicken and sweet sour chicken and egg foo young.
