Golden Chip has been serving quality fish and chips in the Dunfermline area for over 30 years. We are a family-run business and take great pride in the high quality of our product and service, offering both takeaway and a home delivery service within Dunfermline and the surrounding area. Cracking wee place. Polite and friendly staff, and reasonable prices. They always put a fresh full ring smokie on fer me, even if there's 1 been sitting on the press. Nowhere else gets my trade when I'm in dunfermline.

Brig fish isn't as good recently so decided to try the golden chip. Hadn't been in years but I'll be back as a regular. Very tasty special fish supper and listed as 'haddock' on the menu so you know what you're getting. Thumbs up.

Absolute horror show of a place. Told me it would be 5 minutes for a red pudding supper. After 5 minutes they then asked me for money. I obviously thought that when I gave them money I would receive my red pudding supper. I queried this and was given the terse reply "WHAT DID YOU SAY".15 minutes later they then gave me my supper after it had been back and forth from the display at the front. Needless to say I did not eat the red pudding supper and will not be back. Avoid like the plague.Their customer service is criminal. If anyone wants a decent supper in this area I recommend Gennaros in Bellyomean Road. Would give zero out of five but my review would not be accepted.

First off received a call to say they had none of the chicken I ordered but could give an alternative (which was however completely different) but went with it. The food is usuall great so why not. Ordered a delivery I love 5 minutes round the corner (walking) after over an hour waiting which was now 10pm,I called to see when I could expect delivery and was firstly told ‘oh you’re next it’ll be about half an hour’ I questioned this as I’m so close. They changed it to 15 mins. When the food came the it was hot but was stale and dried out. I would not recommend The Golden Chip for a delivered order!
