Not overpriced unlike most other Charity shops in Swanage, clothes are displayed well and great service.
I have never been spoken to so rude before in a charity shop! I saw a Japanese Geisha doll in the window with no price tag and an 'alright' looking record mashup in a frame for £20. So when I ask about the Geisha doll she tells me £10. So I asked very politely if I bought the 2 items could she do me a deal for £25? Now, I can't remember the precise words she used but I can tell you they made me feel like scum. I can't afford much so by negotiating a deal every now and then with what little I can afford to spend, I'd rather the money go to charity which I doubt it does here. I was served by the lady with the hair like the quiditch teacher from Harry Potter... After a string of rude Sentences she ends by saying: "I have to run a business here"... well, your doing a good job... at running it into the ground! Learn some manners, I could have gave a low ball offer but I didn't, I thought I was being fare. If your not prepaired to negotiate while running a business if thats what she calls it... then don't run one at all. Thats my advice, and it doesn't hurt to smile, the lady had a frown that could shatter a mirror. Worst charity shop in the UK I would say. Go over to 'Rainbow Ends' across the road, it may not be a charity shop, but they're more friendly over there!
Needs to employ a tad rather better mannered Manager. Today visited the store in Swanage 04/09/2018. Just as i entered she was locking the doors behind me, my husband outside ....he is disabled and could not get in as quick saying she had to go out in a minute to the bank.....think she locked someone elses husband outside as well...I asked her to allow my husband in .....she was tutting. Felt like we were being hurried without any proper apology. Im not saying the shop itself is of poor quality .....but she was the window to the business and on this occasion needed to employ a more professional exit. When we asked can we come back later she more or less said it ups to you i have to go out...just kept saying in earshot of others i have to go to the bank ....even waiting like a general at the door for our exit...VERY RUDE....
Great shop , lovely friendly helpful manager , she is always dressed to impress and makes you smile Everything displayed well , colourful and vibrant.
Smelt absolutely vile! Walked in and had to walk out again and felt ill for the rest of the day, it melt like acid, not happy
