Every time I ring I usually get 1 of 2 meals. Last time I ordered a meal deal no 5 I had had to repeat everything multiple times. It came eventually delivered by a lovely gentleman who's worked there for years. When I opened it, it was cold and he'd been given the wrong address. There was no sauce and only 1 salad. I wondered why it was only about £13. Today I've ordered the same deal asking them to make sure there's sauce and salad, to be told its £16.40. Menu states £12 but prices have gone up.
Truly the godfather of Cockerton when it comes to pizza and donner meat. A staple of the village lifestyle, and an easy 5 star to recommend.
personally i used to work here but i ordered food from here yesterday and it was vile. doner meat was rubbery food was cold and chips were soggy. the salad was also brown and dry. i used to work her about 2 months ago and what i witnessed was disgusting. they would pick up the dropped chips and put them and all the food is stored in an outside garage which is dirty. the staff are also underpaid. the cooks here are rude to the counter staff and it’s vile.
Been ordering from here since i was a kid around 2004 we would get chicken kebabs at least once a month and they were absolutely delicious really tender and flavourful, good seared grill but we moved further away and started getting much less often, slowly they've just gotten worse and worse but we kept ordering now and again hoping they would be like they used to be. This time the chicken was grisly and had completely no flavour whatsoever, chips have been changed to fries they used to be lovely quite chunky chips. Even donner was quite bland. Everything was a bit cold too. Writing this review to remind myself never to order from here again just threw away £20 because i couldn't eat it. Really wish they were as good as they used to be.
Girl behind counter kept playing with her nose ring, then poking her teeth with fingers, rubbing face with hands. Then she picked a piece of cucumber from the prepared salad up with same finger that had been playing with nose ring and poking her teeth and rubbing face. Personally found it very off puttingly unhygeinic so wont be using this takeaway again.
What an absolute shambles this place is, despite the delicious food we are totally shocked by the lack of customer service, incorrect pizza delivered it didn’t have the toppings on we wanted and my girlfriend who is a vegetarian had some chicken on hers and it was delivered to the wrong address as the girl on the phone wasn’t listening at all!! I can’t quite put into words the way I was spoken to on the phone after we complained, like we were idiots and didn’t have any grounds to complain! She was totally dismissive and couldn’t care less!!
Just had a pizza from godfathers and basically it has gone down hill in the last few weeks. We bought a parmasan last week that was burnt. Gave it another chance and ordered a pizza it didn't taste nice I bit through something hard in pizza wasn't sure if it was glass but it was hard. Not at all happy with service..
It's not an authentic Italian thin crust pizza. More deep dish. It is tasty and filling though. The garlic sauce is a must, for dunking pizza and chips into. Can't comment on the other food kebabs, pasta, etc
Very disappointed. The so called Bolognaise Pizza did not resemble what we got. Overcooked, Luke warm and have obviously been thrown around as the pizza topping was stuck to the inside of the lid of the pizza box. And the tub of garlic sauce had spilt all over the top of the pizza box The pizza was tasteless . This is the last time we will be ordering from this so called pizza shop. This is a shame as it was once one the best in Darlington.
worst food I've ever had even the dogs left it pizza was flat cold no tomato puree about 4 mushrooms bit of cheese even tho I payed for extra donna meet eas hard parmo was rotten last pizza I will ever buy, ordered my own pizza oven now so will make our own
