I had a really positive experience here yesterday. I was asked perhaps 4 or 5 times by various staff members, as I wandered around the store, if I needed assistance with anything. The lady sorting out the ladies wear section was very funny and chatty. At the checkout I hadn't yet got a card so the two staff members there helped sort that and got the tags off quickly; they were both very helpful and friendly. I thought it was important to say this as I was initially worried by some of the bad reviews, and knew I would probably need assistance so didn't want to be met with anyone rude but fortunately I wasnt! The store is big and has a wide variety of clothing, equipment, shoes, bikes and so much more. We left with pretty much everything we needed from our list, and a few bits we will come back for when, hopefully, the range is a little bigger we needed some winter accessories but there wasnt much choice of gloves today, august, so hopefully in a month or so there will be more to choose from. Pretty happy with the prices too.

A fantastic store, and with only a £5 membership you make amazing savings. The service was also fantastic. We had Molly Twigg, who was knowledgeable, guided our purchases based on value for money, and met every one of our needs. Absolutely brilliant.

I'd decided to visit Go outdoors for the first time with my daughter to get outfitted for a camping trip.nnWe did struggle to locate the items we wanted and ran into difficulties with the lead shop assistant.nnWe were unable to find the trolleys and asked one of the staff to help us.nnAlthough the trolleys were outside and concealed from view, we were slightly surprised to be met with a sarcastic comment by the staff member.nnIt was hard to find items and we did rather a few laps of the store.nnThe till assistant was helpful and pleasant but had left a tag on and we were stopped and all items reviewed by the staff member who had viewed themself as the comedy genius around the trolleys.nnIt felt uncomfortable despite a purchase in excess of £500.nnWe had forgotten to get wellys and returned. We wanted to make sure we had explored all options and due to the presentation of the store by activity rather than function - we had to do a massive lap of the store.nnWe had asked again a helpful assistant to check stock of an item and none was available.nnWhen we left the aisle it was a strange experience to see a shop assistant scrutinising us as if we were under suspicion.nnIt was a really odd experience where we asked for help on the trolleys and were treated in a mocking way, we spent considerable time looking for the right products and had our trolleys checked, when we returned we weren't helped and again were under suspicion.nnThe store was laid out like a cross between a jumble sale and a maze. The activity based areas makes it look like a franchise led store and is unhelpful.nnThe sizing of the stock is gappy and the more senior staff are incredibly rude. I would buy online going forward and avoid shopping here.

Went to get camping gear with my son and Dot, one of the staff, was very helpful and gave great advice. Will go again

Excellent service yesterday from the manager of this store and equally good service a fortnight ago from Lee who was very helpful
