The only redeeming feature of the house is its location. The house itself is a bit tired. Could do with bigger fridge and freezer. Fridge too small for 6 people. Doors and windows need attention as does the light switch in the downstairs bathroom, bit temperamental. Kitchen poorly equipped, lacking adequate utensils, cutlery and crockery. The website says to relax on the terrace, difficult with all the building work going on at a neighbouring property. What a disappointment especially when we've paid almost £2000 for the week. Would not recommend, unless you like holidaying on a building site. Had we known, we would not have booked. Website should be updated to say that building work was ongoing to a neighbouring property.
This was my third time stopping in the Cottages. I love everything about it. Always clean, host is friendly and approachable if there are any issues. Perfect view from the terrace. I will definitely return againRooms: 5/5
Lovely place to stay. Great views of the sea and sand. Wonderful waves but no sign of dolphins.weather nice this afternoon after storms, Eunice, Dudley and Franklin .
We have today returned home after a lovely week spent in the Arwel apartment. The location is simply fantastic, the apartment is really well furnished and, particularly important in these COVID-19 times, was absolutely spotless on our arrival. Clean, bright, spacious and a literal stone’s throw away from in my opinion the best beach on the west Wales coast. A great property in a great location.
I Do not recommend The Lodge in Aberporth. It is looking very tired inside. Needs a lick of paint. Conservatory leaks water. The kitchen cupboards smell damp and musty They have never been cleaned. Cutlery drawers have crumbs etc in. With Covid 19 I would not say it is covid safe. On being told we could not check in until 5 to allow for deep cleaning it was extremely dusty and felt grubby especially the kitchen!. They state they offer sanitizer I'm glad I took my own. The sanitizer they provide is cheap with zero alcohol content. Also before going and sitting out in the garden which needs some attention, I picked up piles of dog mess!!. Rubbish also piled high in the shed with maggots all over.! I could go on and on....
Absolutely amazing view possibly best in area and the cottage is really well equipped and decorated.but a very BIG downside if you have no 3you get all the people from the 2 adjoining 2cottages 12 adults and children walking through your patio to access the beach you could be having a nice peaceful drink and chat or even eating a meal not only that but if you leave your door open in hot weather they all look in it could be anytime if day or evening even going to the local pub they use it there's no privacy yet you can't go on there properties and you pay the same money
Great views from the spacious house and terrace. Maybe avoid if you dont like dogs.
Brilliant, right on the beach, cottage was great really well kept loads of room, no complaints at all
Lovely location, well equipped and luxurious cottage
