Today, after arranging a few weeks ago, we managed to have a lovely party for my daughter at Gloria jeans. Came in slightly before the party where they had already closed off a zone for us to decorate with banners and balloons. Given a warm welcome by the staff who checked up on us to see how we were getting on. Left and came back an hour later when her party actually started and the whole experience was perfect! My daughter only ended up having a couple kids turn up but even so it was still amazing! They let me put on music so the kids to play some party games, the kids had space to run around a bit and they were all very happy and comfortable with the staff. When the time came we had loads of chips and some chicken nuggets and strips cooked for the kids and I portioned it out and all the kids LOVED the food. Need to do a special shout out for the manager Sham who really looked after us, sorted the food and made the whole experience very easy and less stressful. Really reasonably priced and a lovely little place for a small party or get together.
Awful! 30 min wait for 2 all day breakfast. When it gets here the only thing hot is the hash brown! Missing a egg on one plate and where is the toast? Cooked tomatoes... no its raw. The mushrooms are cut so small and taste burnt. Don't not eat here !
The coffee was nice, and the display of doughnuts looked lovely. There was lovely customer service but the breakfast i ordered was very very disappointing. Below substandard. It was served on a piece of paper that was on the plate. The paper was soaked in oil so when you cut into anything the pieces of paper got mixed in with the food. And had to spend time making sure that the paper was not mixed in when eating. I received one egg when on the menu it said two. The egg was like a round hard lump which looked like it had been very overcooked in some kind of round mould. It definitely did not constitute as being a fried egg, more like a rubber ball. The bacon was floppy and oily and the hash browns were soft greasy triangles with no bite to them. Not very nice. And did not worth £8.00. Jenny's cafe does an outstanding breakfast so I will go there From now on. However, i wanted to give Gloria jeans breakfast a try. Looks like it was prepared by someone who was not very experienced at cooking. Not the quality expected. Would return to Gloria Jeans for coffee only.
3rd visit here, they do a great chai tea latte, and there cheese toasty is the best, the filling is plenty full and 100% cheddar cheese, it comes topped with cheese as well which is an added bonus and it’s always hot and melted chewy cheese. The Staff are great the chef is brilliant, polite helpful and welcoming
A sign on the counter said, "Iced Tea £3.50", so I asked for an Iced Tea. The barista offered me iced coffee and I said I didn't want that, I wanted iced tea. He said, "We don't do Iced Tea." When I showed him the sign he looked at it as if I must have put it there to confuse him, and said, "I could make you a tea and put ice in it." If you want to experience what it's like Through the Looking Glass, this is a place I would recommend. However, I left and found a cafe with staff who understood how to make everything on its menu.
Friendly staff, tasty halal food options and great selection of hot and cold drinks...plus discount for Blue light card holders...gets my vote Dietary restrictions: Great halal options and instead of having to have a veggie option in other shops you can have turkey bacon and meat sausages...cakes are amazing too
Poor. Hour and twenty minutes wait, cold food and missing items. Dont waste your time. The only thing they got right was a cup of tea, which was the reason for 1 star.
My first time in here. Top service. Couldn't fault anything. Fantastic food. They all went above expectations. Thank you. I will be returning again soon.
First visit to the new Gloria Jeans. Asked for an Oat milk latte. This was served to me completely flat. The young girl told me you can’t froth oat milk or it burns!!!! I asked if it was Barista oat milk and she told me it was. I asked her to try again as it does froth as I have it In every coffee shop I visit. I waited ages and eventually went up to the counter to see where my drink was and a different girl was complaining about the fact that oat milk doesn’t froth. A lady besides me told the girl that it does froth as she uses it at home in a small milk frother as I do. This girl was quite rude and I ended up with a hot milky coffee with no froth yet again. I noted that they use Alpro Barista oat milk. Clearly the staff are not trained properly on how to use this milk properly or in customer service! Maybe the staff would like to go down the road to Muffin Break or Costa and they will see that they are wrong….oat milk does froth. Won’t be returning
Took nearly an hour to get a breakfast, then it turned up with an egg missing when I informed the member of staff she said oh do you want it then! If I could give it minus stars I would!
