Lovely wee walk with lots of mention of loved ones that passed on trees, benches and even a hug tree along with 2 rope swings for the kids to enjoy.....worth a visit
Nice place to walk with various artsy type projects to look at during it. Really quiet and relaxing beside the river
Glen Park runs from Whiteabbey right up to Monkstown village. It's a gem of a park and a great local asset. The Whiteabbey start is a river ans forest walk right up to the very impressive Bleach Green viaduct, very worthwhile checking out. From the viaduct the park opens out more. Then there is new pathways through Monkstown wood which I have yet to fully explore. Great for a walk either on your own or with your dog, good for a jog or some cycling. From the start at Whiteabbey to Tesco in Monkstown and back is almost exactly 5km. Give me a like if you found this helpful.
My chosen place to start my daily OAP walk from Loughview Park to Glen park... on day 3 today
For a circa 80yr old I found it at least the paths that I walked well within my capability. The combination of running water, bird song and rustling trees was very relaxing. The runners, dog walkers and groundworkers I encountered all passed with a smile and hello. A wonderful and safe place to enjoy. IF YOU HAVEN'T BEEN YOU'RE MISSING A TREAT
Excellent for walking dogs away from traffic and some lovely scenery.
Nice park near belfast docks, toilets free parking till 8pm
A beautiful place to walk through, so peaceful, lots of bird's and wildlife.
Great walk with the kids
Lovely walkway through trees and under viaducts. Feels like a million miles from everyday busyness. Good for a family walk or a more energetic run.
