It's my happy place, quiet and beautiful. 15 minute walk to the beach and I can hear the waves when I'm in bed. The owners are so welcoming and I can't speak highly enough about the site. Simple pleasures and family fun.
Stayed in the Mill cottage for 10 nights in August. Even though it is a peak season and cottages/camping grounds are occupied, the site is very nice, clean and quiet.nThe hosts are fantastic, helpful and responded quickly to all the messages.nWe found cottage clean, spacious for two of us with lots of storage. Linen and towels were provided. Kitchen has basic utensils/dishes/devices and washing machine. TV with all the main channels and very nice, clean shower with good pressure.nThe one thing worth mentioning is that the site is right between a big road and railway tracks so if you are a light sleeper like I am this could be a problem. I always take ear plugs with me whenever I go so it wasn't too much of a problem for me. My son had wonderful sleep and didn't notice the noise. WiFi signal is very weak inside because the router for the area is in another cottage. If you sit just outside on the bench the signal is very good.nWe made friends with the two lovely cows and their babies living on the site. It was unforgettable experience watching calves having milk from udders right in front of us.nOverall we had a really good holiday and the cottage was a wonderful place to get to in the evening after our adventures. Booked this for one night at last minute. Site was immaculate. Staff are friendly and trusting just told us they would collect money later that night.nPitches are all level on hard standing. Toilets on site are clean just need to take your own towel to dry your hands. Showers clean too £1.00 for 5 minutes in the machine and you'll have a lovely, hot shower.nOutdoor gym area and small play area on site for kids.nElsan point and grey water area outside toilet block.
Lovely, cosy little holiday cottage in a beautiful setting. Very clean, well maintained, with everything you would need for a short break. There are supermarkets about a 10 min drive away in Pwhelli. There's plenty to do all within a short drive. There's a beach not far away, about a 2 minute drive. Caernarfon is about half an hour away. If you enjoy history the castle is a must see. Abersoch beach is beautiful but can be busy on warmer days so be prepared for crowds. Porthmadog isn't far away and is lovely harbour town. There's a lovely park with a play area in the centre of town. Porthmadog is also the main station for the Welsh Highland railway and the ffestiniog railway which is a great day out.nThe only thing that the cottage could do with is a signal booster for the WiFi as it's a bit hit and miss. But other than this it's a fantastic little place to stay, great for families. And there are also caravans and camping on site if you prefer those options to the cottages.
This place has been perfect for our 3 week stay. A basic site which is exactly what we were after. We didn't use the toilet block and pay showers but they were very clean and other campers did say how nice they were.nnThe owners are lovely and full of great places to visit and fab walks.nnNot far from the beach but far enough to be quiet. Next to the local railway line which is fabulous to see the two carriage trains once every hour or two and to experience the thundering of their wheels resonate through the ground outside.nnPerfectly flat site with hard standings and grass and great mobile signal for our BT/EE and Three devices.nnThank you, we will definitely be back as we have fallen in love with the area
