Amazing ice cream very delicious!! You can ask to taste before choosing! I tried the oreo and it's amazing. They also have waffles, crepes, milkshakes and hot drinks. Staff is very lovely. The decorations and Italian music are fabulous! But it was a bit hot inside. Paid £3.3 for a scoop and a cone
Great little place with lovely friendly staff, good variety of crepes & waffles. Their coffee is also very good and delicious. Great addition to have on the high street. Try their Oreo waffle - you won't be disappointed!
Only been once not busy hour and it was nice, staff were helpful and offered samples. The gelato was very tasty, only draw back is maybe it was a little on the sweet side. The cost are pricier than soft serve, but this should be expected, especially given the gelato is made from organic milk. I’ll be definitely returning.
Glorious, simply glorious, decadent and delectable gelato! I rarely give 5 stars for a review but I suspect that Manchester is undergoing a gelato renaissance with Gino's at the forefront. To start off, the venue is centrally located and with a warm light feel. But you don't come here for the atmosphere or to be seen. Admit to yourself that you're here you scoff as much of the heavenly stuff down as your conscience allows. So down to the nitty gritty... The pistachio gelato is technically brilliant. It has the correct mouthfeel that one expects from a chilled dessert of custard origin, versus the aerosol dairy product that passes itself off for ice cream in supermarket freezers. The pistachio flavour is also tricky to get. Sometimes too granular, sometimes too redolent of artificial flavouring. I don't know what they put into their but the Fauxdar did not get triggered. In much the same way as Michelin hands out rosettes, one should make the trip to experience the stuff here. However Gino's shouldn't rest on it's laurels. I spy another Gelateria on Portland street.
Fantastic waffle House my son was in heaven. Reasonable prices for city center and all freshly made.
Not overly impressed. Starting with the positives, this place is open quite late. Staff were friendly and the decor is very nice inside, however, we were not too keen on the food itself. Obviously crepes are going to be sweet but this food tasted sweeter than any crepe I had eaten before and it was honestly, not brilliant. The food was also expensive and the tables were all filthy. I will maybe give them a second chance in future but overall from my first visit not impressed.
Very nice and clean set up. I tried 2 recommended waffles. All waffles are basically with mediocre chocolate, and the selection of fruit includes only banana and strawberry both nice and fresh. The waterless waffles were too dry and soaked in chocolate syrup to compensate. so this section lacks imagination, e.g. chestnut spread, and better quality.
Highly disappointed, looked great from the outside but service was extremely low 15/20min wait for a waffle and crep and people who came after getting served first. Wouldn't mind if they tasted good but the oreo waffle was cold with a small amount of dried up chocolate. The banoffee Crepe tasted slightly better but still nothing special. Also tables were extremely dirty DON'T RECOMMEND save your money.
Very average waffles and ice cream, especially for such a high price... the waiting time is shocking, as there weren’t that many people but we had to wait for way over good 10 mins to get our waffle. Wouldn’t recommend it.
Pretty and fresh interior. Generous portions even for the single scoop. Pistachio Good but why the extra 50p? Hazelnut was subtle to the point of being bland. Texture not like gelato, more ice cream. Pet hate when it melts as fast as ice cream as you've paid so much for something you end up having to quickly devour.
