We had an excellent meal at Gillies yesterday one of my favourite places to eat.The only downside was the attitude of the duty manager who was extremely rude and patronising. When we ordered our food we requested a wine list.Our food arrived and we requested the wine list again.Half way through our food we requested wine list again which came.We ordered and wine finally arrived when we had finished our meal so we sent it back. We where then confronted by duty manager who waved a till receipt at us and asserted that it had only been ordered 3 minutes ago.She then proceeded to scrunch it up in front of us. She did not ask us what the problem was. This put a sour note to an otherwise delightful experience. Adrienne Gault

Was here with my parents our server Sarah was very friendly. Portions were made very small but were lovely non the less.

Ordered a soup and it was ok (£5). ordered a platter of charcoterie and the bread was not fresh kind of reminded me of a shoe sole. With the bread we got low quality parma ham, and pulled Ham?? uh? where's the other kind of stuff you would expect here?... butter had no taste and above everything it's very expensive. Never again.
