Three of us stayed here for two nights was going to a wedding on the second night we fancied relaxing the first night.check in was smooth and they got us a room near the lifts what we asked for as disabled .really friendly staff ,polite,helpful every member of staff.nnwe booked a table for a meal and have to say it was great two course £23 and what we got was banging.I usually dont do desserts but i love apple crumble and custard and since it was part of the deal was not expecting much as got it in other hotels either small slice crumble and small drop of custard well not here.homemade apple crumble and it was big and loads of custard it went down well and three of us was stuffed after dinner.the service was first class.nnbreakfast was great buffet style and you help yourself on everything except for coffee and tea.the breakfast staff as well first class work hard and where so friendly.nnall in all we had great two days stay.will be back again soon.nnthanks to all staff at the adair arms hotel.
I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past, more recently the last two nights.nnI arrived Sunday morning and had an early check in, no problem with that.nnThe room was ok but nothing special, the radiator in the bathroom is hanging off the wall, the toilet doesnt always flush so you are left looking at what you deposited, bad housekeeping!!!!nnThe bed is like sleeping on a wooden board and not very comfortable.nnThe remote for the TV doesnt work properly.nnThe toilet roll holder keeps coming off its bracket, the basin was tarnished with I dont know what, i cleaned it myself.nnI decided to come down for Sunday roast Serving lunch from c1849, well listen, a two course lunch £25.95, I chose the soup, delivered it looled like water with some barley and a tiny bit of leek thrown in for good measure served with an uncooked bread roll.nnI chose the lamb for main and asked if i could have a yorkshire pudding, the young gril said ill check if you can.nnShe then proceeded to ask the head waitress and she said no but when i quicly looked up at her she changed her mind and told the young girl to ask the chef, not a good response, im paying afterall.nnSo my food arrived and i couldnt believe what i had in front of me.nnMy yourshire pudding was smaller than the only one roast potato on the plate served with a tiny bit of inemic vetetables consisting of two carrorts and two parsnips, i was told to enjoy, hang on a minuet i thought, no mint sauce nor no gravy to cover my well overcooked roast lamb. I had to ask for these two comodities, can you believe it!!!!!nnThe pint of diet coke o had was as flat as a pancake, no wonder the reasturant was allmost empty, time was now 1315.nnI sent it all back but was offered to oreder something else, i mean why would you.nnI did take a photo, happy to send it too you or i can post on here.nnRococo' is just around the corner, so i went there, folks please go there it is delicious and you will be well served.nnI came down for breakfast next morning, the selection is quite poor for this size hotel, food establishments are supposed to offer allergens or cover dietry requirements to which i have, i am a sever dibetic and all i asked for was two plain poached eggs and sweetners for my coffe. No sweetners and there never has been all the times i have been coming here, therfore, the hotel is not meeting the requirements set down by food standards.nnThe following day i was attending a funeral so needed to iron my shirt, the iron in the room is a typical non use iron not fit for purpose.nnI called reception and asked for a replacement what turned up was great a nice big steam iron but it didnt work, so i just had to make do.nnLater that morning i came down to reception 1145 and asked the receptionist if she could very kindly call me a cab as i needed to be in Cullybecy before 1300, well the look on her face could have killed me how dare i ask for help. NOT on.nnWhen i returned later that evening i asked at the bar for a glass of ice for my room and was rold i couldnt have any, what the actual!!!!nnThis is an old hotel situated in the heart of the town close to everything you need, however, i have give the location only one star as I fear five stars my raise rhe rating, its a shame there is far to little attention to detail.nnManagement sort this out before I return.
Great hotel, has just enough class to keep things up to snuff but doesn't feel pompous or stuffy.nRoom was basic, and prett small but had a desk which was nice. There was a bathtub but the hot water is on controlled settings so you can't actually get it hot enough for a proper bath. That is pretty much my only complaint though.nEverything worked well and service was good. They have a great breakfast spread.
Wife and I stayed 9th and 10th ,silver surfers deal, we were served both nights by Cassée and first night by Grace. . These two girls are an asset to this hotel. They did everything they could to make our stay most enjoyable. They tended to our every need.kept asking was everything to our satisfaction. . Both with lovely personalities. Couldn’t praise them enough. And that goes for all the staff . Food was perfect . Lovely cosy hotel. We will be back . Linda &Davud Conn. Thank you
Here for a wee Christmas meal with the family. My fish and chips were lovely, nanny had salmon but sadly found a couple of bones. Dad’s roast beef was great, but my wife had mac and cheese which just didn’t agree with her. Food took around 45 mins to arrive which wasn’t the best. Overall me and my dad really enjoyed our food, but the other half of our table had issues. I’d probably go back here but maybe not my first choice in Ballymena.
