Story

James Giles & Sons Ltd was established by the original James Giles almost 100 years ago, in 1916. The company was thriving when James died in 1931 at the very early age of 48, leaving his young son Fred, aged 23, to carry on the business, later to be joined by his younger brothers Bert and Les.

Since its very first day in the town, James Giles & Sons Ltd has built up and maintained a fantastic tradition of offering those all important personal, friendly, respectful and understanding touches to help people through what are often some of the toughest times in their lives and when they need assistance most. Ask anyone in Bromsgrove to name a funeral directors firm and, more often than not, James Giles & Sons will be the first one they mention - such is the reputation of quality and customer care that this fine family firm has formed and fostered.

Today, following the retirement of James (Fred’s son), Bert’s son Ray has been joined by members of the fourth and fifth generations, James, Adrian, Neil and Mark and, along with Rachel and Dennis, together they continue to uphold the fine tradition of care, respect and understanding that have become the hallmark of their well established service.
