I needed a professional clean for a small woollen rug, about 3 x 5 foot. The Giffnock Drycleaners accepted the job. In a few days time I paid 40 pounds for the service and collected the wrapped in cellophane rug. When I unwrapped it at home it was as dirty as before: all the hairs, all the stains and the smell. When I called back to ask why the rug was return without any cleaning, I was offered to bring it back. The proprietor first said it is normal(?) for a freshly clean rug to stink, than he said that he would leave it with a dry freshener to eliminate the smell. Later he proudly asserted that he brought a Dyson from home(?) and hoovered(?) the rug. I collected second time, again wrapped in cellophane. Unwrapped at home. It was dirty and stained, covered in hairs - not hoovered, and the old animal smell was "fused" with a disgusting peach smell like in cheap car air-fresheners. The peach stink has disappeared in a few days. The rest is unchanged, except for two journeys to and fro, and 40 pounds, shamelessly accepted by the Drycleaners. Unbelievable, blatant swindlers.
