This place is stunning and the story/legend behind the causeway is quite cool. The walk down to the causeway is approximately half a mile and it opens up into such beautiful scenery mountainous and ocean scenery. The rocks are very cool and everywhere you look is just beautiful. Careful on the rocks because they can become quite slippery when wet. Definitely check this out!
Amazing place.. We are lucky to have a beautiful day today although it's very windy. A must if you are visiting Belfast. Follow the Great Causeway Coastal Route. So many great spots and nice village towns along the way.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
One of the natural wonders of the world with a mythology to go with it. It's a must see, but be prepared for crowds even on quieter midweek mornings. Park at the National Trust visitor centre - there's a bus that takes you to and from the site but it's a nice walk.
I could imagine this place being way to crowded in the summer, but if you go there in the off Season it’s very nice, and there are not as much people. Beautiful place, especially when the sun goes down and very cool how the stones formed this way. Also a nice place to visit if you’re a Harry Potter fan, because there’s a scene which was filmed here. Would recommend it if it’s not to crowded.
Cool place to see and a must if you are on the coast. Went first thing in the morning and it was very quiet which made it much more pleasant. There is not really much to do other than scramble about a bit and it’s definitely not for anyone with mobility issues. Strangely there were no information boards at the causeway explaining the history or the geology.
Spectacular place. Definitely recommend visiting. You can get an audio guide and spend time walking on 4 different pathways discovering the Giant's Causeway and the surroundings. I recommend going for at least 3-4 h if you want to walk different paths. Otherwise, 1-2h is enough to see the Giant's Causeway. Restrooms: Available in visitors centre. Dog-friendliness: They are definitely dog-friendly. You can take your dog's all the way to the Giant's Causeway. Picnic area: Plenty of benches and nice areas for a picnic.
Neat place! We'd recommend going on the red trail to start then working your way down to blue for an easier and more downhill climb if needed. Very busy location but still able to get a lot of great photos!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
Wow. What an amazing, natural attraction. The rock formations are nothing like I have ever seen, they reminded me of honeycomb. There was also a lovely little, reasonably priced cafe called The Nook with delicious food and cakes. You can also get a range of hot drinks and alcoholic drinks if you fancy a beer. A must see!
National Trust..... But. Book in advance.! Large carpark. Excellent, helpful staff. Great presentation in the 'Experience "building. The reality is stunning. Wear your walking boots, but take the bus down to the beginning. After, enjoy the cafe restaurant .
Beautiful place, maybe better to visit in the morning or during working days as there were tour buses always coming and a lot of people climbing the stones, so it is a bit harder to get a nice picture. Weather was fortunately very good so we also got a nice view. It is also nice to hike the hill a little and you get a beautiful view from the top
