A beautiful place to stop on the way of Giant casueway and take photos. The scenarios are breath taking. It's actually a ruin of Castle. Lovely cliff walks available. No toilets and a small free car park near the view point.
Combine this Castle with the Falls and Harbour and it makes a really beautiful walk along the coast. There is a well marked trail if you are paying attention that keeps you on track.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Castle was a bit disappointing. We didn't find a safe path from the car park. We had a little 2 year old and felt nervous for him on the steep banks. So we didn't spend long here. Harbour was lovely and if we had more time we might have had a longer walk either at the harbour or from the castle towards the giants causeway where there is a good path along the clifftop. The coastline is beautiful.
There really is no castle just a couple of stone walls. However, the walk up the hill toward the Causeway has some very dramatic views of the coast line and views of the countryside. There are a number of sheep on what would have been the castle grounds.
There is almost nothing left of the castle. But the view is worth it. There is a path that leads you to the waterfall. I recommend for a walk. It is beautiful.Visited onWeekend
Really pretty place, but that's it, 15 minutes it's enough to watch and enjoy this nature marvelous. Unless you want to go far and beyond, there is a track walking by mud that you can go to the stones of the castle and also to the sea, may not be legal because you usually jump to get in I didn't went down, saw a girl with two dogs walking inside. Worths the stop if you are already on this road for other stops, but it's not a place that you should change all your path to visit.
Amazing views would have been better to come in the summer but still can hike towards the castle ruins even with showers, just be extra careful since there's quite a hike.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Picturesque setting. Small parking area. Three picnic table with barbecue section built into table. No concrete or tarmac paths. Ground mucky which was disappointing.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
We loved walking through the big house ruins to imagine life in the old time. Great views of the coast as well.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Beautiful coastal area with cliff path walk. Paths are rocky and uneven. Quite grassy and hilly. Picnic area about 100m from car parking area. Would not suit anyone with mobility difficulties.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
