Delicious Greek food at this cafe upstairs in the covered market. Very friendly service and good value. There are lots of interesting food places in the market but this cafe is well worth seeking out.
Absolutely loved my recent trip to Oxford because of the food at Georgina's! The service was wonderful, we said we weren't super hungry and were recommended the hot veggie mezze which was absolutely delicious! The aubergine was soft and flavorful, the butterbeans were creamy and the cous cous salad was fresh and crisp. The stuffed vine leaves were heavenly! The portion size was generous and the price was amazing for such delicious and authentic Greek food. I thoroughly recommend eating at Georgina's, I'll be coming back every time I visit Oxford!

Absolutely delicious food, quite inexpensive too! And super filling. It was a pleasure to eat, houmous was so so good! Perfect. Moussaka is very good. Super nice overall. However if you are in a hurry this won't do, except if you take a wrap away for example. We waited for our dishes for so long! we were a table of four, nothing extraordinary

Don't miss out on this gem! It's hidden in the Covered Market, just above Brothers'. We loved Georgina's for the original Greek food, the extremely generous portions, and the cozy vibes. The owners are Greek and make the loveliest plates, so don't get fooled by the restaurant chains in the covered market and outside. Also - the coffee is amazing. Bonus points if you love movies!
Stopped here for lunch and, word of warning, the nearest toilet is back outside the covered market so go before or after the meal as it's a fair walk. That said, the guys who run the place are friendly, quick, it's a good price, has a relaxed atmosphere and the food! We both thoroughly enjoyed our generously portioned plates of delicious spanakopita and meatballs. After that I HAD to try the baklava and can honestly say it's the best I've had in many years, soaked in honey, delicious layer of ground pistachios and light pastry. Quite wonderful!
Found this place through reviews and boy am l glad. This is a hidden gem. You need to climb narrow stairs and then, brace yourself for homemade amazing food for under 10 pounds. I had a lamb meatballs platter with hummus, Greek salad, couscous and green salad. It was so good, like l made it at home + way better meatballs.portions are big! All fresh. If you want a hearthy and wholesome meal under 10 pounds, without compromising quality, go here. You will fall in love.
