Lovely customer service ! Serving staff were amazing and helpful. Bought a skate and cod , not a big fan of skate but this one I love it. Fish is nice and crispy even after 20 mins drive. Worth trying it. Went to the shop looking at the review , so I thought I will leave one.
Good chips. Cheese and onion pasty was disappointing - just microwaved in its plastic wrapper. Could do with more vegetarian options.Food: 4/5

Rubbish, this guy doesn't know how to operate a business When you charge £3,50 for a burger, you don't then charge £7 for a burger meal, this is not how other takeaways do it, it should be £5 at the most ,the point of getting a meal is to save money rather then buying the items separately , not a difficult concept I did get the burger meal, and it was disappointing , chips were hard, burger was bland and again hard, straight out of the freezer He wanted to charge me extra for sauces but I told him to jog on , this isn't Tom kerridge As others have said it's dirty, cramped and has no atmosphere, might as well sit in your car
Best fish and chips around. Whenever I visit I am always greeted with a smile and excellent customer service. The food itself is cooked fresh to order using quality ingredients. If you are looking for an affordable quick meal then I would highly recommend George’s!
I would give it less than 1* if I could. Awfully disgusting food. Fish and chips were soaked in oil that has probably never been changed. Had a brownish colour and a bad taste. I understand that sunflower oil prices have gone up, but I paid 2 times more than at my local place for a kebab, chicken and chips so they should a ford at least changing oil from time to time. Please avoid this place, it's a health hazard!!!
This fish and chip shop is very good and fish is nice and fresh when I have been there. It is good value for money. Only downside is lack of nearby parking and somewhat dilapidated surrounding buildings which makes the area look a bit grim. But the shop itself is fine and better value than other fish and chip shops
Tasty and hot cod,haddock and chips. Generous size fish so very good value. Parking: Limited parking on the road or nearby Waitrose.
