I visit quite often for a carvery on a Sunday. The food is lovely. Since my partner died, I have found it hard to go out on my own as I feel more exposed, if that makes sense. The older ladies have always been so welcoming, warm and friendly. Linda and Corrine I think, they just give you that much extra. Please don't misundersand me though as the younger ones are polite as well. It is a nice and pleasant place to go.

Lovely food. Reasonably priced. Service was a bit haphazard but it was a busy Saturday. A good idea to book as very popular.

My food was good. Had beef rib. However others on my table didn't enjoy their steak. Table service was good how ever it was the kitchen that slacked. We for there at 7 and left just before 11 for 3 courses as kitchen was extremely slow. Again the table service proved well as we were honoured free drink and apologies and overall would go again thanks to the waitress that served us and reassured us it's not usually like this

Had a poor boxing day meal here. I had the trio of venison for my main, which was supposed to be cooked medium. What came out was three small chunks of venison, cooked well done in the middle, and burnt on the outside. The stuffing and Yorkshire's looked and tasted ready made, half the potatoes were burnt and had some soggy parsnips to go along with them. My girlfriend had the turkey roast, which had a much more glaring issue than the potatoes or parsnips - the lumpy, congealed gravy which had the thickest skin I'd ever seen. The extra gravy in the jug wasn't even pourable. It actually made my sister gag. Thankfully the desserts were quite tasty, so not all was ruined. I've been here before and things have been fine, but I'd be reluctant to go back after this.

Nice establishment. I had a Sunday roast with family, it wasnt the best to be honest. I have had better there in years gone by. Can't speak about anything else on the menu. Good desert selection and what we had was nice.
