What a great Wetherspoons, lots of seating and the pub was clean and well maintained. There's the normal great Wetherspoons menu with something for everyone especially vegetarians.nThe staff were really friendly and the service was really quick. Our food was delicious and well prepared. It's easy to order on the app or at the bar.
There was a blunder with the app or myself. Considering this is the second time it’s happened, I’m on the feeling it’s not human error. Anyway the young lady delivered me a meal I felt I hadn’t ordered and then the manager came over resolved the issue, no stress at all.nnFood was piping hot. Very tasty, he see my young boy wasn’t eating, asked if there anything he wanted, explained we was waiting for the main menu to kick in. No issues he said. Took the order fromnMy boy and 5-10 mins later his meal arrived. Long before the app showed the main menu
Waited almost 45 minutes for three basic very cold meals. My breakfast didn’t even come with bacon and I decided that it would take too long to even bring it up. Staff were lovely and trying their best.
We sat a bit too near the door on a big table. It wasn't bad at all but not great either. With fewer people you can probably find a nicer table/area to sit. The various breakfasts we had were of average quality and temperatures and arrived staggered possibly because we ordered on their app separately/in twos. The waitress was polite and helpful but not charismatic. Oh, and no dogs allowed, so had to find a dog - sitter.
I was not on the menu to the taste of St George Hotel ,another unfriendly cold place ...if you have a dog ..you need to keep on walking, hold your money and spend it at Rustico pizza!! who are dog friendly ,they are just at the top near the lights in the Hailsham Town ..so go there if you have a dog ...give your custom to them .They are really kind staff especially Marco who looked after me and the dogs no problem.
