Nice road stop cafe with simple but effective menu. Worth stopping in if your on your way in or out of Newry but not worth traveling out of your way to. Will stop in again though!
Never seen the likes of it 3 young immature staff behind the counter I was standing there a good 15 minutes with no-one in front of me and wasn't acknowledged once by staff nor asked for my order I had to ask them could I place my order. Those 3 wouldn't work on batteries.I was served by Natasha was extremely unpleasant and clearly had no interest in her job I actually felt I was bothering her by placing my order...young lad making the burgers again didn't seem that interested In what he was doing either. Food very slow coming and it wasn't that busy! Food was shocking my chicken fillet was cremated I'm sorry I didn't read previous reviews before I came. I would NEVER eat her again!!!
Saturday 3rd December 3:30pm. Me and a few mates decided to call there for some food after training. Stood at the counter and a blonde girl asked if we were sitting in or taking away, I replied ‘sitting in’ and she replied, ‘take a seat’ and walked away. She said it in a passive aggressive way but we still decided to sit down and give it a chance. The seats we went to were dirty and hadn't been cleaned. We waited and she came over and threw the menus down and walked away, not a word was said to us. We all felt that the service wasn’t up to standard for the name of the place so we walked out. Went to McDonald’s and have to say even their service was better! Don’t mean to be petty but I was very disappointed, I have no intention of coming back and definitely wouldn’t recommend the place.
The weather might not be the right one to get an ice cream but if you decided to go you will be not disappointed. We did not try much from the place just ice creams, milkshake and coffee, but what we have tried was delicious. Very friendly staff, smiling and chatting. Very nice place Food: 5/5
Went in the doors, no one infront of me ... now I understand why four staff on with no name badges .. very immature staff, huddled together for a good chin wag.. food very poor standard . Communication very poor to a standard of nil.. Genoa in Warrenpoint needs to train this staff.. Warrenpoint is the best around ...
Call here most Saturday nights but last night the fish was terrible. Grey coloured fish and overcooked. Couldn't eat it. Waited a long time as well. Normally fish is beautiful. This was the Newry shop not warrenpoint.
Chips lovely, sausage good, gravy , was definitely something wrong there, I had to scrape it off the chips.Food: 2/5
Fish is very greasy. Tastes good but the paper it is wrapped in is saturated in grease. The chips taste good. It is definitely not worth £9.00. I would give it 5 out of 10. I won't be rushing back. It is a really slow service too.
Good food, but getting expensive
