Value for money for lunch with drink included, tasting satay sauce if you like a bit of spice with a variety of meats and seafood you can choose, the fried rice option is recommended. Black bean sauce would be another good choice, authentic enough with a fair price and good option for student too as they have student price and a few pay and display parking lot around and close to bus stops and Nelson medical practice
On my medical appointment day I came to Nelson health center and this was a short walk for me. I tried egg fried rice with tofu benson sauce which was served piping hot to me. I loved the sticky fried rice with flavour of egg and the hot vegetable sause served with it. I wish the chilli sause addition on top were a bit better though. Overall a very filling experience for under 8 GBP
This was my first visit to GC Kitchen. I stopped by because of the delicious aromas wafting through the air outside the shop. I ordered duck fried rice and duck spring rolls to take away. The rolls were nice, and the rice had very generous amounts of duck in it. However, the rice itself was really bland, absolutely no flavour. It seems they just fried plain rice in oil. It had a tiny amount of peas and an even smaller quantity of spring onions. I was expecting to taste ginger, garlic, and oyster sauce, but there was none. I had to add some flavour to the food when I got home. On the plus side, there was a huge amount of rice, and I was able to get 2 meals out of it. I'm really disappointed. Maybe I just ordered the wrong items on the menu.
Some of the best Chinese I ever had for years. Not sure why this has such a low rating. My order might be typical Irish person but try: The Kung Po Chicken Battered with cashew nuts, amazing large proper chicken balls, delicious prawn balls, salt and chilli chicken a lovely light batter..trust me it really works, the sweet and sour chicken/prawns staple and their egg fried rice is phenomenal properly salted and cooked. Then hit up a tub of curry sauce. Also their packaging is beautiful and it's a real treat and experience to open. I advise everyone to post who has had a good experience. Because reviews from 6 years isn't a fair reflection on a wonderful small business.
Well we have searched for a decent not sloppy Chinese takeaway for ages and found GC kitchen how lucky was that ! food was so good a little bit pricier is that a word? than some but excellent value we will be back !!Food: 5/5

I have lived in Merton Park for over 30 years & purchased Takeaway food from GCKitchen & it’s predecessor Hot Wok . I have also been eating Wan Tan Soup for over 40 yrs but I’ve never had Wan Tan Soup the like of which I received this evening with my takeaway. The wan tan pastry was undercooked, the filling was discernible as anything vaguely prawn or pork like & was tasteless but the soup was the most disappointing of all. I’ve never seen dark brown Wan Tan soup & all it tasted of was a well known stock cube. Haven’t bothered with the rest of my order yet. Post pandemic & with the “cost of living crisis” I’ve found most suppliers - big supermarkets or small take-aways are all taking advantage of their consumers - shame on you all!

Usually very good but there were just two prawns each in our Singapore noodles without chicken when we last ordered. Disappointing.Food: 2/5
I can't praise this place enough. Every dish is super tasty, and distinct in flavour. Delivery is always fast and the food always hot and fresh. Great, innovative vegetarian options- I recommend the veggie chicken in black bean sauce, the texture is a cross between quorn and tofu with a fragrant 5 spice sort of taste. Well worth the price, but you can cut down on your spending by ordering the small sizes w/a as their portions are generous!
