Story

Now in our 9th year, we have been providing service for everyone, be it for the Mountain or the Road, the Skatepark or simply riding down the Canal with your family.

We stock and have Demos of Giant, Trek, Scott & Focus bicycles. As for equipment, we work with many of the UK's best distributors to access a huge number of brands to solve your technical problems, improve your ride or to simply whet your appetite for bicycle luxury.

Fantastic bike shop! Really friendly, knowledgeable & patient. Great atmosphere - a real buzz in the shop, with people coming in & out. And the adoreable two shop dogs! Soo friendly! We were staying nearby, on our honeymoon, & the dropper seatpost on my mountain bike became faulty - luckily we were carrying a spare & Getaway Cycles fitted in the swap that very morning! Thank you guys!
I recently visited gateway cycles looking for some advice on a problem I had with my bike , they not only looked at my bike and found the problem but they fixed it for me . I was very happy with the service and can't thank them enough .
Went in to buy an ebike, but what really struck me was what a great bike shop it is. There was an older gent having his tandem which must have been 40 years old serviced, and I also noticed a kids bike up on a work stand being fixed. My new ebike was built up and ready in a few hours it's great, I love it!, and the staff were really helpful, knowledgeable and not at all pushy. It was great to support a proper bike shop that caters for all cyclists
Great service. We had some trouble with a hydraulic rear disc brake during our holidays. They fixed it fast, and for a proper price.

Absolute legends. Battery died on rear derailleur while on hols. Ordered a new battery for my e-tap Sunday night, picked it up Monday afternoon and they'd even had it on charge so i could pop it straight on the bike and get going again. Shop looked ace as well.
On a long ride across Wales with some friends, one of the group broke a rear gear cable. Luckily it was only 15 miles mostly downhill to Abergavenny, where the nice people at Gateway Cycles replaced the cable on the spot and charged a very fair fee for the job. Recommended!
Ordered a new bike for my lad. Ready to collect 2 days later. Checked for size and adjusted accordingly in store before I left with one very happy young chap. Used the store on multiple occasions and they are always helpful and knowledgeable. Great to have such a super bike shop so local.
In the area for a cycling holiday and my bike broke within minutes of entering Abergavenny. Even though they were very busy, they managed to have my bike fixed by the next morning and thus rescuing my trip. The staff were very friendly and helpful and I couldn’t be more thankful.
I am 67 and even worse female! Thank you for not treating me as inferior as other cycle shops have. You have cured all the problems that were pointed out in another bike shop that wasn’t fixed previously. Will be using you permanently as no doubt will need mechanical jobs as I live on my mountain bike.
