Despite living just 5 minutes away from this place for years I've never actually been in! Decided to visit after I was given a Dine Out Gift Card that was valid here and so glad I did! The atmosphere is great, and we had some nice chats with the staff. However, the star of the show here is the food. It was Saturday afternoon, and it was explained to us that they were busy, and food took a little longer than I would have liked to come out, but it was well worth it! Everything tasted great and it was all cooked perfectly! Really glad to visit, and definitely planning on coming back!
Outstanding place to eat and drink. The community atmosphere was really welcoming and very relaxing , food was tasty and well presented. Parking: Register your car plate on entry.
Good and attentive service. Good menu. Food well presented and tasty although the guy who ordered the ribs reckoned you'd found an anoerexic pig. Steaks were bit hit and miss: Rare came out rare; 2 medium rares one came out nearly rare, one nearly medium. Deserts to die for. Good selection of beers and gins.
Great pub, a little hit n miss regards the atmosphere. Sometimes you drop on and it's comfortable with the average background noise associated with a pub, and sometimes you drop on football commentary a little too loud in most areas. Otherwise good selection of beers with good food. Parking: Registration number must be entered upon entering the pub using the device on the bar. If you don't, you will possibly get a ticket/fine.
Nice warm and welcoming pub. Good selection of drinks and food. Pleasant and helpful staff. Disappointed that all 4 meals didn't arrive together. Cannot fault the food quality, served piping hot. Desserts so tasty and so large....... Parking: Nice large car park. Had to book in at bar so none pub users weren't parking there and blocking spaces.
Took my nan here for lunch now that she's had her Covid-19 jabs. There's a ramp to get in which is really good for access. However, we weren't sure where the disabled toilets are and the normal toilets are very low and without support bars. That aside, dining area inside is very nice, and we could order from the app or a person. We chose to order from the app, but were disappointed to hear that the tip that you leave on the app doesn't necessarily go to the waiter/waitress who served you as it's assigned by the manager. The service was great and food was really nice for a really good price. But you really can't put a price on those wonderful memories with loved ones that have been missed during the pandemic. Would definitely recommend if you fancy catching up with someone.
Took the family here for a light lunch after visiting other family . Very good value and considering myself ,wife and two children all ate for under £20 was very tasty and generous portions . The kids build your own ice cream sundaes were exceptionally good value and well presented . Staff were friendly and atmosphere was great although started to get a little busy with end of year Xmas works dos . Reccomend highly
The food was really good, can’t fault it in any way. However, we won’t visit this pub again as the language around us was disgusting. I’m only too glad that we didn’t have young children with us. Kid-friendliness: Don’t think it’s the kind of pub to take kids in because of bad language. Parking: Lots of good parking spaces
My food didnt arrive the girls apologised but i dont understand how as 2 people were ordering she only put one meal through we did get another meal but we did not eat together which isnt really ideal , atmosphere wasnt great and not the most welcoming placeFood: 1/5
Called in at 12 midday 28/2/23, the opening time on the door was 11am, the ramp accessible back door was locked denying access to wheelchair users. Ordered a gin and tonic in a straight glass, ice, no fruit, I was asked which gin. The female bartender proceeded to put the gin and ice into the glass and then began to pour the tonic in, my husband asked her to stop as I prefer to add the mixer to my own taste. The reply was "You asked for gin and tonic in a straight glass and that's exactly what I've done". Needless to say we left. It is unfortunate that only the words and not the tone of voice can be portrayed through this media. If a bartender does not know how to serve drinks properly, maybe a career change is required. The management will probably identify a training need from this incident, I identified a common courtesy need. Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp accessible back door close to the disabled parking bays locked during pub opening hours
