If I could give 0 stars I would. I have been with GMC for over 2 years and in that time have had NOTHING but issues. Receptionist are often very rude and seem to think they also are medical professionals which, they very much are not. Practice manager made the decision that only 2 of the GPs are equipped to deal with my medical condition however these two doctors are never available. Practice manager also hung up on me twice today mid sentence. Doctors also seem to be clueless and blame the most bizarre things on mental health before trying to write you an SSRI prescription that you likely don’t need. They claim to put through referrals that never come through only to check your medical records to find the referral was never made or that if they did put through your referral they left out vital information meaning the referral is denied. I have even had a doctor tell me my audible heartbeat was “just anxiety but should head to A&E anyway” I can’t stress how little I would recommend this surgery, especially to those who require an accessible environment or have any long term care needs. Also the surgery refuses to use my preferred pronouns and despite original requests to be seen by a gender therapist in 2022 the referral has yet to be sent off, this is not a Trans friendly surgery.
My experience is very limited as I've not needed to see or speak with a GP since moving to this area in July this year. I can only say how impressed I've been with the repeat prescription service. To be able to request an item and collect it the following day is a minor miracle compared with my last GP in South Worcestershire! Thank you very much to all concerned in running such an efficient service.
A modern, clean medical surgery, which is a much larger practice, than my local Barwick Surgery. I regularly use the integrated Cohen's Chemist, who I also find helpful and convenient when visiting the surgery. The car park has quite a few spaces, but it can be 'fun' getting in and out, of what are quite tight spaces. I am an 8am caller when necessary when trying to get a GP appt, and regularly start as a '20ish in the queue' caller. Not too, bad, I guess, however I would say my chance of achieving a GP appt can be 50/50. The main reason I use Garforth as opposed to Barwick is usually down to being a bigger surgery, more GP's in attendance, more facilities and better opening times for me, however I am a staunch devotee of using Barwick when practical.
Absolutely shambles all I get lately is go see pharmacist. And when you ring them they say they're no opointmen ring back the next day
I am so pleased with the treatment myself and my daughter have received at Garforth Medical Centre. Whenever we've needed to see someone, the reception staff have booked us in for an appointment that same day. All the staff are lovely; we are especially happy with the genuine care shown by the doctors- whenever we visit they all make a fantastic effort with my little girl to make her feel comfortable there and they have even followed up with us the next day to ensure she is okay. I feel lucky to have them.
Fantastic practice, everyone really helpful and i have found that the GPs and nursing staff amazing
Always had great service. From the person answering the phone to the person taking the actual appointment. Never had any issues getting an appointment. Last year when I went through a difficult time all the people booking appts and the GPS I spoke to were great, which really helped when I felt let down by the hospital. Recently been diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes. Saw the diabetes nurse at the surgery who explained everything so simple and helped me when struggling with readings. It made such a difference. Thank you all!
I have found the receptionists to be very courteous and caring in their manner. Although there can be a long appointment booking queue on the phone at 8am, I have never been unable to get an appointment once through the queue. I'd recommend this GP practice.
Reception staff require urgent customer service training as they are rude , do not take the time to listen and talk over you repeatedly, very worrying indeed as this inevitably leads to communication difficulties and confusion. Hoping this feedback is helpful and to receive an early positive response ,would definitely not want another family to be on the receiving end of this service, more than happy to provide details for learning and to try to avoid the formal complaint process .
Rang them due to.having chest infection and reaction to the antibiotics and steroids and wanted to know how there going to treat this infection told no spaces and not able to talk to doctor and to call 1111
