Gallery 128 have been framing my prints for about 7 years. The service Charles provides is exemplary and he has facilitates many random timescale requests. “Charles, I need this framed yesterday; what can you do?”. I know I provide a better service to my customers because of Charles and his meticulous professionalism.
We have had two pieces framed by the team at gallery 128 and have been thoroughly impressed by the quality of the frames and of the process of framing itself. One large piece required a float mount and the end result was spectacular. The price was very reasonable to; compared to other galleries we visited and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. Highly recommended.
Charles helped us with a large special edition print. He gave excellent, experienced advice with choice of frame material and colour, mounting and glass. It turned out perfectly and is spectacular. Thanks again.
Charles has been framing pictures for us for over 10 years. He always gives amazing expert advice and frames things beautifully, bringing out the qualities in the pieces he frames. I wouldn’t trust my art with anyone else!
My mother-in-law passed away during COVID. To remember her, I wanted to frame a Van Gogh print in exactly the same way that she had done in her house in Buenos Aires – a squarish brown frame with very little white around the print. I went to Charles with this request. He patiently heard me out, then suggested a few changes e.g. the picture would do well to have a bit more white around it as it was a large print, getting non-reflective glass would be well worth the investment etc. I had a very precise idea of what the picture should look like, to be as close as possible to what my mother-in-law had on her wall, so I was slightly worried about deviating from my vision. But Charles was gentle in his suggestions and I went with them. I need not have worried. The end result is a warm and graceful piece of art in our home that brings us peace and makes us feel close to a loving parent who has now passed. Thank you, Charles. I feel fortunate to live so close to someone as dedicated to their craft as you.
I couldn't be happier with the work carried out by Charles. I was introduced to Gallery 128 by a local artist five years or so ago and have not looked back. Charles has framed everything from modern prints to oil paintings, and guided me on large installations as well as giving expert advice when I have been unsure of how to approach a project. We are very lucky to have a wonderful and diverse selection Charles's handiwork hanging on our walls. I do not hesitate in recommending Charles.
Charles at Gallery128 has been my chosen framer for the past 15 years. He has not only mounted and framed hundreds of my photographic landscapes of Wimbledon Common but he has also framed countless limited edition black and white prints for The Arthur Steel Archive. He consistently delivers faultless framing and is an absolute gentlemen. Very few people are aware of the fact that Charles' once ran the antique furniture restoration department at Sotheby's - no less. I highly recommend Gallery128 and just hope that he never stops framing for me.

Was recommended after buying a painting from Fraser Scott at AGallery to use Gallery 128 to frame it. So pleased with the choice of frame and craftsmanship of Charles Kean-Hammerson at Gallery 128.
