Very good coffee, fabulous cakes and tasty savoury dishes and very generous helpings. Lovely friendly staff. Tasty and creamy Ice cream. We go there regularly - usually several times a week. Best coffee shop in Exmouth Market.
Styles itself as a chic bakery but the sourdough loaf I bought was dry, had quite a close crumb, and wasn't at all sour - so none of the usual sourdough characteristics. I'll be going elsewhere for my bread needs in future.
Hilariously rude staff. Having been a loyal Gail's customer in Queens Park, Kentish Town and Upper Street, I will not visit this store again. There are plenty of other great competitors on Exmouth Market more deserving of the business. Second star only added due to quality of baked goods.
All the goodness you expect from Gails, plus the wonderful Exmouth market and area. Friendly staff!
To be very honest it was very disappointing. The store looked welcoming yet had a painfully small selection to chose from but we purchased 4 items of which 2 were great and 2 tasted like cardboard. Staff were nice just lacked the end result
Delicious! I had an excellent capuccino and I decided on a quiche but there were so many good choices that I could've justified just about any of the options there. Several outdoor seats set up for socially distant breakfast or lunch. Will definitely go to GAILs again :

Sooo good! Great filter coffee, small but excellent menu, all fresh and really tasty. Relaxed atmosphere despite it being busy!
Tasty baked goods but a little short on service for a tea room, especially as it is not especially cheap. It would be nice to be served at the table particularly on a quiet week day!
