Such a beautiful place to walk and relax. Stunning views, especially in the summer.
Home to friars point house, this small piece of land that juts out into the bristol channel provides spectacular vistas all year round. A favourite way point for walkers, cyclists and joggers, caution should be exercised in high winds when visiting.
Such a beautiful place to walk and relax. Stunning views, especially in the summer. Just a shame not everyone picks up there dogs mess or takes there rubbish away with them. Why they choose to spoil such a lovely area is beyond me.
This is a lovely short costal walk from the beach to the top of the point. The site is very pretty and a lovely geological site. The land is pretty flat up there too, and has good paths. Lovely to take in the view of the barry behind us but being able to see the glimmer of the North Devon Costline ahead.
Lovely visit here today. Little sun breaking through but still a lovely breeze and it's dry. Great views and photo opportunities too
It is a really nice and bit too far beach. The water used to be blue but now it's brownish in colour but that's people fault. But otherwise it was still really good.
Not a big place but an excellent place to take a coastal walk on a sunny day. If you look for a silent and peaceful place, after a noise beach, this is the place.
We went there on a sunny day in January. Not too crowded.. lots of dogs. Very beautiful and peaceful! You can walk from the sandy beach to this point easily and enjoy the view from here. It was serene!
The photo was taken from Friers point, looking towards Barry Island. Lively little place. Much improved since my last visit. Probably due in part to the popularity of the TV comedy/ drama, Gavin & Stacy. Fish'n'chips, slot machines, ice cream, bars and restaurants are in abundance in this buzzy town. A heritage railway operates from the station which is also served by BR. Arriving by car? A large car park is situated a short walk from the beach. Short term roadside parking is also available.
An awesome view point to please your eyes.
