Walked in and sat down. Staff were ok but not clear when serving us. Probably didn't help that there was a 10 year old behind the till. The adult there however asked if we wanted a meal deal to which we agreed for a baguette and a jacket potato. Food came with a extra baguette. Made staff aware and requested a refund as apparently the jacket potato isn't part of the meal deal. That was not what we were told when ordering but the refund was agreed. After almost 20 minutes I ended up asking the staff if we were going to get out refund to which they then short changed us. Matter was eventually sorted. Food was good but the service let it down.
French Connection is my favourite lunchtime treat. I usually have home made soup, it is delicious. The staff are friendly & work very hard & do their very best. Prices are the best ever & variety of food is outstanding.
I usually get a sausage baguette from here for about £1.00 at lunchtime and that's quite good. Bit small inside, but enough room as there's seating outside. Staff are also nice & service is usually quick apart from at lunchtime, but what do you expect in Solihull?. Would definitely recommend if somebody wants a cheap baguette for their lunch.
Never had a problem until today. I ordered a cheese and bean jacket, take out. When I got back to work there were roughly 10 dry beans underneath of a mountain of cheese. The 10 beans hadnt even been hot enough to melt any of the cheese. I returned and asked for my money back. When i explained the problem the woman on the till replied with 'what, again?'. She was very apologetic and gave me a refund. I then went elsewhere. The politeness of the woman on the till is the only reason I have not given 1 star. The young man who put together my food clearly thought he could take advantage of a take out order, not realising my work is next door and I am a regular customer and go there 1-2 times a week. Seriously considering giving it a miss in the future.
Great subs for a good price. Nice decor and comfortable seating including a couple of booths. Only place I know of that will makes a great sausage and bacon baguette.
Top Notch baguettes, Food was banging. Sausages were a little small for my liking, They have BBQ Sauce on lock but get a little trigger happy on the mayo. Winners cant be choosers but could do with more space because its gets crammed and tight in there. I come for a baguette and get lost in the phat crowds. It takes me days to find my way out of that hobbit hole. 10 times out of 1 there card machines broke. But other than that is competes with maccies. Ps. One time I brought my guide dog billy and haven't seen him since. Baguette tasted funny found a dog hair in there. Plz no more spaghetti baguettie
was collecting cans round the back off this establishment, found a dog collar had the name billy on it, was a little concerned, much say by the taste of the scraps they throw out the food must be good. the spaghetti baguettie was a little sloppy.
Da Bagetts were lit af ma dude, 8/8 would bang any donna kebab bagett in sight. Donna meat is kinda iffy fam as if its like dog meat or sumtin... Still fam I aint no rat and I aint gone complain when its £2...
Ordered Mexican chicken and cheese panini and got a panini with only melted cheese in it
Always great service from friendly staff. Lovely food with lots of choice & allergies can be catered to.
