Outstanding small village upper school / college. Great teachers, students, SEND & Pastoral provision. Has a pool and new sports hall. My teen is thriving here, enjoys attending, works hard in class & has made new acquaintances as well as being supported by understanding & professional staff thus far. Informative, prompt with engaging parents. Well thought out and taught subjects with helpful theories & methods with clarity. A plethora of enrichment / extra curricular activities, a safe space with a caring community that inspires art, music, swimming and human rights. A wonderful acadamy & evidently one with top academic results in Hertfordshire!
I am currently a student at freman college and can confirm it is a good school. The teachers are all very kind and understanding, and especially now I'm in sixth form, they treat me like an adult and let me have responsibilities. I can't really think of too many downsides, they are doing the best they can on their budget and still manage to have highly qualified teachers who know above and beyond their subjects. I am looking forward to being a prefect next year to try to give back to the school and help the staff.
I go to this college, but they don't do cheesy bean wraps often enough, this is a hit food with the student population, but they have been discontinued, this has led to a decrease in student serotonin levels. Otherwise the school is okay, the sixth form block could be larger and the after school activities aren't adequate enough.
I attended an event at this college. I cannot comment on the quality of education but shared toilets made me feel uncomfortable. Teenage girls should not be forced to use toilets with boys.
Went there for the first three years until I finished my GSCE's, only left because they didn't offer the A-levels I wanted. The SEN team are amazing, as well as most of the other departments. The only flaws were in the ICT/Computing GSCE's - my entire class nearly failed the latter due to the teacher not knowing the subject well enough; and tales of drugs around the school, though I never encountered any.
