Fantastic bike shop with great service and a brilliant attitude. I'd just come from a different national chain bike store with good service and advice, but these guys knocked them into a cocked hat. Although fully aware that I was only in town for the day, and so not buying, they still gave over an hour of their time and a test ride to boot. Also hugely impressed with Trek over the competition, and rather suspect I'll be buying one... Many thanks again for your help and time
Been coming here for the last 8 years - bought 3 bikes and countless accessories and components. All of my bikes come here for servicing and upgrades. Never had a bad experience, Helpful, knowledgable staff and great mechanics. The only time I have gone anywhere else was when I wanted a specific tyre that Freewheel don't stock.
I wanted to move from a mountain bike to a road bike and went shopping round nottingham. I found several shops most of which didn't know their own stock or much about bikes. Freewheel on the other hand know their stock and know bikes and clearly have a passion for bikes and cycling. I had a great expeience with them and they put time and effort in to setting up the bike perfectly for me, i haven't had to change a thing. Others who has mail ordered have had all sorts of comfort issues because the bike wasn't setup correctly for them, getting this right is essential and they got this spot on. Going back for my 6 week free checkup next week, covered 300 miles and no problems.
I went to Freewheel after looking on Treks website and they were my local store, after spending an hour trying to park near the store I walked in to find all the staff very busy on the computers. After the salesman came over I told him I was after the Trek 1.5 which they didn't have and it would take 3 weeks to order! Then they wanted a 20% deposit but an older guy came over and changed it to 10% on bike work scheme which was all confusing, in the end I went to a store in Breaston that ordered the bike in within 3 days and sorted me out much more efficiently.
I bought a bike from these guys using Bike to work scheme. Wish I had used another shop, Was not helpful giving info, got different info from different staff members one was saying + £10 on top if bought a sale bike other staff was saying 10% on top of final price if using cycle to work voucher ..... I finally decided on a bike after revewing on net and put £25 deposit down .... When date came to collect it was not there and nobody could give me a date kept waiting and no bike the was telling me the order system they use cannot give me a date and there attitude was like this was not a problem.... In end I canceled order and got deposit back but my work told me I had to use voucher as had been prossced so re ordered and finally got the bike. So next I go to insure bike and find out the £55 lock they sold me was not good enough to cover me with the cycle to work insurance scheme cover. There was one lad that worked there that seemed up know what he was doing and gave good customer service. Would I use again ?! Not a cat in hell chance.
Awesome shop. Been going there for years. They've looked after my road bike and seen me through many races, TTs, training rides and the Etape du Tour without issue. Got the best set of mechanics around. I watched them change my rear derailleur cable in literally about 4 minutes and had my gears tuned in perfectly at the end of it. Genius.
