It was Mark and a rainy Sunday. Saw the rains at about 3pm but Mark was waiting. Great. It was a Soho tour exploring the subtle nuances of the lively and worldly soho-nation.
I did 2 of these tours this weekend and just loved them! Robin Spencer’s was the tour guide and he was excellent. So many interesting stories you’d never read in a history book! What a great storyteller. Also, he can direct you to the best pubs for a pint after the tour! Take the free tour and then tip this man heavily for his time.
Thames River tour with Robert. Lived up to the standard of all LW tours I have done. Excellent. Very informative and enjoyable. I work in Greenwich and it was educational in respect of what I see every day and didn’t know about . It was also a tourist event I did with my brother. Robert was a fountain of knowledge delivered with humour and enthusiasm. I would highly recommend. Chris Riley
Meeting place given on ticket says Westminster Station. Actual meeting spot was Buckingham Palace. Waited for 10min and completely missed changing of guards as result.
Would not recommend as our tour guide was drunk, didn't take us to a lot of places. He had good knowledge at the places we did stop at. He was also laye
We took part in the "Royal London Tour". Our guide was Robin, a very nice and knowledgable man, who never let us get bored by illustrating the tour with a lot of stories. I've never been disappointed by a free walking tour as the guides tend to stay away from simply counting down dates and giving a pure history lesson, but rather making the historical sites come alive with their own personal anecdotes however real or fake they may be. If you're interested in taking some typical London pictures, Robin also led us to some great spots to watch the changing of the horse guards and the guards in front of Buckingham Palace. I would definitely recommend taking this tour.
We did two walks with Robin, the Royal London, and Secrets of London tours. We weren't disappointed with either. The Royal London tour gives you some great insight into the Royals and those who have hung from their Coat tails over the years. It also gets you in prime position as the Guards return after the Changing of the Guards. Highly recommended.
We did the Secrets of London Walking Tour and got, what our guide promised us. He said, that when he was supposed to do his first tour, he asked his boss, what the secrets of London were supposed to be and his boss told him: "whatever you like". And thats what we got. A few bits and nibs about English history, a nice personal story and walking around London. All in all it was free, we walked and had a tourguide. Nothing special, definetly no secrets, so a solid "okay".
Excellent experience and the best way to learn the most from a professional with 21yrs of leading tours.
We did a Harry Potter, city of London, and a Jack the Ripper tour, they we’re all so great! Tour guides were supper knowledgeable and passionate about what they do, we especially like the Jack the Ripper tour, probably my favorite, lots of interesting facts, our tour guide Jessica was so knowledgeable and had a way to tell a story, highly recommend.
