I normally love Frankie and Benny's but I think although this is quite a small one in comparison to others I've been to previously, it's trying to take on more than it should. When you go in it looks very small but overcrowded, when you take your seat you feel squashed in and like a sardine in a tin. If you need the bathroom you don't just get up and walk in a straight line as they haven't spread the tables out even a little for you to manoeuvre they've just crammed as many in as possible for more business so it's like navigating a maze to get there. Also we had made a reservation as we know it's busy on a Friday night and we wanted to make sure we'd have a table as there were 6 of us for an occasion, we were shown to the table, ordered drinks and then didn't see anyone for 45mins after that until we stopped one of the waitresses walking by as we wanted some food (I know, who'd have guessed). The waiting staff seemed too rushed off their feet as they're clearly also trying to save money by employing less staff as well as cramming a tonne of ppl in so we didn't get that nice friendly service with a smile which you get from every other frankie and bennys I've ever been to, just a quick order take and off and wl away again, didn't even ask if we wanted more drinks to go with it as we were all empty from such a long wait, we had to call them back and ask for them ourselves. After our order was placed we waited an average waiting time for food to arrive so although kitchen must have been busy also, they served food quicker than we had been waiting just for someone to take our order. The food was lovely, the usual standard of other frankie and bennys. Then again at the end we were waiting so long for someone to come over and clear the table or ask if we wanted dessert or the bill that 2 of our friends had to leave as although they allowed plenty of time for the whole evening, everything took much too long. And again in the end, even though we wanted dessert we had to call someone over and just asked for the bill as we didn't want to be cramped in for another hour or two waiting for that and then the bill again. All in all I'd say if you want that nice family friendly feel that usually goes with the lovely food at frankie and bennys, avoid this particular branch. It doesn't have that feel at all. You can see they've thought about how to make as much profit as possible and come to the conclusion that more tables in same space to fit more people around = more business = more money, which to be fair, seems to be working so far but then they are one of the few options within a little complex with a cinema and bowling etc. so it's convenient location will probably mean you will always see it busy.

Would have left 0 stars if I could. I shall bullet point this for ease of reading. • Served 4 drinks in Frankie & Bennys maidstone today (two Pepsi two children’s milk) • Daughter down half her milk quickly before realising there was something wrong • I check the milk to see it was yellow in colour and smelt horrific, never smelt milk that bad before • Spoke to blonde server who smelt the milk and agreed, check the date on the milk and said it was in date but completely agreed there was something wrong with the milk. • My daughter’s, Son and partner leave as daughter doesn’t feel too well • Blonde server suggests we pay for the drink (2 Pepsi’s untouched, half a milk gone that’s about to be thrown up). I obviously disagreed with paying for gone off milk. • She kicks off and says ‘Don’t worry about the drinks then, we are busy enough anyway!’ (After saying she would speak to the manager and didn’t) • I speak to manager who smells milk and pulls a face. Drinks milk and spits it back out, then apologised and try’s to deal with the complaint properly as it should have been before I got the rude blunt answers from the blonde server. • Daughter has now been sick twice. Formal complaint registered with Frankie & Bennies through there main website. Not sure if there is CCTV inside the restaurant but hopfully there is so this can be seen and the right people disciplined. This is the second time I have received bad service from here since the servers have changed (Alex that worked there previously was absolutely fantastic and part of the reason we would go there).Wouldn’t usually complain as mistakes happen! But to make my daughter I’ll with gone off milk, suggest I pay for the gone off items and then give me sarcastic answer and attitude is wrong. DO NOT EAT HERE!
