Michelle was our first choice to make our wedding cake. Not only is she incredibly talented with designing, then creating her idea into reality but her cakes taste fantastic. I would go as far as to say they are the best I have ever tasted. From our initial meeting, to the big day Michelle from Franbea was helpful, kept as well informed and accommodating to any design changes we had. We had high expectation from Michelle, but she completely blew them out of the water. I have never see such a STUNNINGLY beautiful cake. We have not and doubt we will ever see a more impressive cake! Thank you so much Michelle!
Michelle designed and made us the most wonderful wedding cake! We weren't sure exactly what design we wanted so gave Michelle a picture of my dress and told her which flowers we'd chosen and asked her to come up with some ideas!! So pleased we did; she designed and made the most beautiful cake ; fruit on the bottom and vanilla bean on the top. I am not usually a fan of fruit cake, but this was delicious and so many of the guests commented on the design and flavours. Thank you FranBeaCakes - can't wait for an occasion to use you again!!
I am over the moon with Michelle's cake she made me for my father's special 80th birthday party. The sponge cake and filling was the best tasting cake I've ever had and the design was out of this world. She listened to everything I asked for and the finished cake decoration was outstanding. Everyone at his party were talking about his cake and admiring the intricate detail of the fishing scene. Well done Michelle and thank you for making this day very special. I thoroughly recommend FranBeaCakes to anyone celebrating an occasion.
We met Michelle at a wedding fair and her beautiful cakes stood out amongst all the rest so we had to book her for our wedding day. Not only was our cake exactly what we asked for but the flavours were amazing and everyone commented on it. We were so pleased with the service and Michelle’s professionalism and friendly nature that we’ve booked her again to make a golden wedding anniversary cake for our parents in December.
I'm really sad to have to leave this review, as I never complain about anything but on advice on others I feel it's important and I am saddened by the aftercare I have received on this matter. I used Fran Bea for our wedding cake because she was adamant she could make me a gluten free cake, however on the morning of my wedding she came and told me she had forgotten to make it gluten free. I was really disappointed and felt let down about this as I have a very serious allergy and everything I eat has to be gluten free. It was also something I didn't really want to have to deal with on the morning of my wedding. Michelle did later make some gluten free cake which she brought back so it could be served in the evening. However, the next day I was informed by the venue that they had to cut around the outside of the cake as they felt the middle was undercooked and didn't want to serve it. Also, we gave Michelle images for reference and she seemed confident she could make a cake that looked like the photos, but we didn't feel it did. It was still pretty and we were realistic about the way we thought the cake would turn out but wasn't quite what we had expected. We could have looked past this element if we weren't already upset about the gluten free issue but it felt like another let down. Lastly, I emailed Fran Bea and stated all these points post-wedding. I felt her attitude was definitely not apologetic and I felt like it was being made to be my fault. I definitely didn't feel like she was sorry about the huge issue and again felt let down that I had invested in her company. We were offered another cake, which to be honest isn't something we wanted after our wedding and I lost confidence in eating anything incase it has gluten in by mistake. I would have expected an offer of a refund, but alas I have not even had a reply to my last email, hence why I felt the need to leave this review.
I cannot recommend Franbea enough. Thank you for all your hard work, our wedding cake was more than we could ever have wished for. You are a truly talented lady and you made the cake the most enjoyable part of the planning process.Xx
